Very true about the theives in France.. Me and my family drove through France and when we stopped to eat outside of Paris, we saw some guys stealing stuff from a truck while the driver was in the truck. The driver ran outside in his underwear haha
Even Though i'm American, I've always been a fan of Euro Trucks, they're so much better than the US trucks, they're more powerful, better-looking, and just flat out cooler. I would love to do what you're doing one day, Just Truck in Europe.
have you also been to Sweden or Norway (I know Norway isn't in the EU)? Very interesting to drive: In Sweden it's like wide roads with many long straight parts, Norway the completly opposite: smaller winding roads. Most roads in Norway got a speed limit of 80 km/h, but with studded tires you can drive that speed in winter just like in summer
@EnjoyFirefighting He wrote about it on his blog but in Polish. He wasn't there for work and money. His car was Peugeot, small car. Try ask him about it because how you can see he speak English :D
The Polaks love to fck the job over here and in Europe, in France iv seen some Polaks overtaking at 90kph in 2 ft of snow !!! Fckin crazy cunts will kill people and come out unscathed ,one guy in Germany killed 5 driving too fast in snow and walked away ... Into handcuffs I'm sure, the point is THEY ARE FCKIN USELESS AND A DANGER TO OTHER ROAD USERS AND GIVE TRUCKERS A BAD NAME .... so fck off home and have a wash u stinking twats
come down lad it's not only polish drivers that are dangerous!!! Im living in england for 4 years now and i have seen a lot of cunts that can't even drive the truck or a car mostly in big cities. so shut up and stop blaming only polish drivers because we are one of the best truck drivers in the world and i believe english drivers are one of the worst drivers in the world after what i've seen in the last 4 years in Enland ;)
No - you're right. That class system is still alive and well in Europe; a working man is just chattel, a serf, nothing else. Spent a couple of years there in the '80's with the US military in Germany. People can be nice, but also somewhat snobby and clannish. Not like North America where things are more open and equal.
Everything you said is sooo true .. why did come to europe ? america is much better .. it's sad that edriver in europe is nothing .. but it's everywhere .. in what company are you working ? :)
@ErikasTGX I used to work for Miratrans in europe. I came to the old continent because I wanted some adventure and visit all the countries. :) Now, I'm back in North America working for a company doing mostly reefer loads and California !
@mibanas True in general it's 56MPH but for example in Holland it's 50MPH and if you drive dangerous goods in Germany or France it's also 50MPH. Only in germany it's 53MPH without dangerous goods.
@mark1simon it is not the polaks that killed the industry but the laws of EU made by crooks sold to big transport corporations. For "polaks" the money they are getting are good money, and that is exactly why they are laying off people like You to save money. Don't blame it on the driver, try to get a bigger picture. We are getting screwed by big corps and that's a fact
2:04 yes it is so truth. :-( I was a truck driver to here in EU, but I believe that in a week I will be back on the roads agen :-) can wait to start agen. yes it is a littlebit difficult here in eu. I would like to try trucking in the US or (and) Canada. Are you still trucking her in EU? Nice video... take care
Thanks you for the video. It was Excellent, and it only confirmed what i already knew. Being a truck driver in Europe almost sucks! Nobody cares about you, and as you said before they look at you from "a height". If you have some problems NOBODY i mean NOBODY will ever stop to help you! Believe me Its even worse at the Balkans (i`m from Macedonia), and especially Italy! NOBODY KNOWS ENGLISH there! Maybe the worse thing-> no TRUCKSTOP! NOTHING! Sorry for my comment i got carried a bit. CHEERS!
When you went to Europe to drive, did you have to retake your license test's for the class 1 vehicles or did they just transfer it over into a EU one?
@evh5150vanhalen What I actually did, I kept my canadian drivers license and went to CAA to get an international version of my license for 20 $, wich is valid for one year. I actually was never pulled over by any official over there to test that license, but my employer had no problem with it. I also was able to get the card for the electronic tacho with my licence. I also stopped and asked polish DOT if they had a problem with my license and they said that they would honor it so :)
@nolibab3 I can see youre driving a polish plated truck, so I guess you also get a polish salary for driving ? What do you think about living for that amount in western europe `? Here in Denmark a lot ot the danish drivers lost their jobs to eastern european drivers... and we can see, the eastern europeans are often stocked here... they cant afford to go back emty, so they are waiting more days for loads, but they can hardly survive for their money, cant afford to eat at the truckstops,...
@haustan123 Iwas driving for a polish company. I was making more or less 1000 euros. This is good money if you live in Poland. That is why polish drivers are willing to work for western companies such as essers, wili betz etc. They even pay them more, but make those poor drivers run for 5-6 weeks without going home. For drivers living in the western countries it's not funny to get competition from drivers half price but you should blame the Eu and its corrupted laws that benefit big corps
you are right about drivers been treated like low lifes I drove for 15 years and the security guards hate us the goods in hate us the reseptionist hate us the police hate us the public hate us lol. you have to ask your self is it worth it you bet your ass its worth it .Remember they all hate you because they all know you have a better job than them.and the feeling of freedom is FANTASTIC.oh yes and don't forget other drivers hate you too.oh and you haven't experienced beauty until you see alps
@blobby1972 well I was only driving for 4 months and soem situation forced me to go back to america, where we have the Rockies wich are pretty cool as well. But I shall be back on the roads of Europe soon :)
not agree with one. in Europe enough to be able to speak English. Rather, because every police officer and most drivers can this language. For example, I ride from Polish to German and I know German, English and Polish of course . generally in Europe it is a very nice job. states, but probably a little better and less demanding.

Thank you for your impressions.
00:20 My brother in law from USA says the same about the different places.
00:55 Yes, speedlimit of 80 km/h, very slow.
01:50 South Europe and east = dangerous. Scandinavia = secure. Yes, stories are true.
02:40 much more than 8 languages. But a lot of people speaking English.
04:45 We are in the EU but every state has it's own transponder system, crazy.
06:21 What truck did you drive? You're not satisfied with transmissions. Some trucks hav an automatic.
