That is one badass 7700. I live in Raymond, just down Rt. 48 from you guys. Hope your 2009 went well and good luck in 2010. It's going to be another crazy year! Good Luck!
love your video. that is an amazing extension. i hope lejink's opinions don't get you down, he wouldn't know what to do without 60 Minutes to guide him.
Now I'm guessing you are some liberal yankee who lives in a heavily populated area. Therefore you probably know nothing about farming... or family for that matter. But let me clue you in on the farming part. If you want America's farmers to succeed. I highly suggest you support GMO crops. Or come up with a way to pay for $4.00 diesel, $200,000 tractors, skyrocketing irrigation costs, skyrocketing fertilizer costs, and many other ridiculous inputs with non GMO low yielding POS crops!
lejink's: You know what pbutler is right... this video is about farming and family and putting and being able to appreciate the fact that we can combine (haha what a pun) career and family and make a great life. GMO crops or not... no one ever said that Monsanto was a good company. In fact they SUCK... I think that we all know they are out to screw the farmer and as I farmer. I hate their guts and look forward to the day they go broke.
gm seeds cost a lot more, not to mention the fact that only now is proper research being done into the effects on the human body.
increases your likelyhood for having allergys. since gm crops were allowed in the usa theres been a 400% increase in food related allergys.
the myth that gm products will feed the world is also false because small farmers cant afford it. gm products are also mixing with wild plants so the damage is done.
you're not payiny attention. just going by what i see in the video; this is a small farmer because a) the equipment is 25 years old and there aren't multiple pieces of each. and b) his kids are riding with him. corporate farms don't take the insurance risk of allowing children around equipment.
@lejink i think you are definitely fucked in the head... have you ever thought that it is the lack of ohh i dont know exercise that kids are getting in early years therefore their emune systems are not developed right think you dumb liberal before you accuse the hardworking people of the midwest and all other large farming states that we are the problem... now go back to listening to rush limbah bitch about the country
how about the fact that the main company selling gm seeds monsanto is illegally testing farmers crops and sueing them if their genetic strain is found.. theres many storys of farmers whos neighbor plants seeds and some endup on their property. they lose their entire season of crop.
many top fda employees are former top monsanto position holders. does that scream bias to you? bovine growth hormone was pushed through by these bastards and claimed to be totally safe. read how dangerous that is
lets talk aspartame, maybe google its safety. its absolutely insane that a product like this can be legal when it kills test animals.
the fact that monsanto can test 100 times and select the 1 time their product didnt have negative affects then have it approved with this standard should worry you. they is how the system works.
doesnt it make you sick its only when these products make it to europe that the dangers are actually looked for.
and i know you think it saves farmers money, but in the long run since the gm portion is now tranfering to the weeds... it will mean the roundup wont kill the weeds anymore. then what?
all of what iv said is easily found with a quick google search. lets remember monsanto was behind the "agent orange" thats causing so many vets problems. they knew its dangers but lied. monsanto has a long history of lying on its products safety for profit. they know profit is bigger then any lawsuit payout
I was replying to lejink's assumption that GMO's are a not safe for food consumption. My comment was to state that if all crops were non-GMO, the price of these goods and the meat that these goods are fed to would be way more expensive to the consumer. I saw your link on NewAgTalk. Your Hopper is enormous. How many bushel does it hold?
Sorry, I was responding to Lenjink. Would be nice to simply post a video of farming with family without some uneducated liberal nut trying to make some political statement.
