when are you suppose to start the nuva ring because some doctors say between the 1 and 5 day of your period but some say it can be on the 7 day if you have a period that long????
@UniqueMonique513 I'm pretty sure being as it is BIRTH CONTROL ....which is used to prevent pregnancy which is usually, not always, but usually caused by INTERCOURSE....you can still have intercourse with it in....
The only place I found on the internet for affordable NuvaRing and etc... birth control without insurance is: MyCycle Direct. I found the MyCycle company though Encyclopedia online and I discovered that they are the leading online Birth Control Pharmacy. Good Luck
i've decided however to remove my other comments as i find the thumbs down to my warning to be rather assholish. this thing made me permenantly sterile and almost killed me. there are several class action lawsuits against them, and that information is available, free, on the internets.
i know nothing of the merena, so i cannot speak to that product. i can, however, speak to this one, and i would not recommend it to anybody.
I have... my friend has it and so far she has not had any problems other then after the procedure... she said it was very painful and they don't recommend it unless you have been pregnant
What happens when the three weeks is up, and you just started your period? I don't wanna stick my hand up my vagina to pull some little rubber band thing covered in blood clots out...
You just leave it out for that week. And insert your a new nuvaring the day after your 7 day period. It should be the same day you did it last insertion. Basically if you begin at the beginning of the month this is a once a month deal
it can't get into your cervix, and you can leave there during sex. the guy can sometimes feel it. but if you feel better, you can take it out (up to 3hours) and when you're done just rinse it and put it back in.
You can safely have intercourse with the ring in. Your partner will feel it but trust me the ring is small enough to fit in comfortably but too big to go into the cervix. Its about the size of a ponytail holder
Most of you people are retarded. it doesnt hurt to put it in and out. neither the woman or man can feel it while having sex and if you can you can take it out for a couple hours for sex. And all birth controls have the side effects of blood clots and heart attack and such.
The nuvaring is available in Germany since 2001 and it becomes more and more popular due to the fact that it releases a lot less hormones that the pill. This is because the hormones diffuse directly into the blood stream. It is very easy to handle, I find. And it is still working even when you get sick which is a problem with the pill. Most men don't even feel the ring during intercourse.
U MUST DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE U USE THE NUVARING 37 woman have DIED using it i had it in me for just 3 days and i had abdominal pain and my left leg had a horrable cramping pain and i was spotting and iam a healthy 26yr old non-smoker and so were some of the woman who died its not for everyone there are alot of law suits pending just becareful GIRLS
The pill is difficult to remember since it's an every single day pill. What if you have some big event that day? It's so easy to forget. As for the patch, the weekly application isn't that bad at all, BUT it does collect clothing lint. Not that gross or anything, but I'm certainly glad I upgraded to the NuvaRing!
cuz the pills can be forgotten and u have to drink them every day.. and this is puted just one time per month, the patchs can be removed in the sexual act by accident & the ring not.
Many women forget to take the pill and it reduces its efficacy, also some women can have an allergic reaction to the patch or are embarrassed to wear their contraceptive like a badge.
I use Nuvaring and at first I was the same way about my own fingers. But if you use tampons, what you can do is get one and take the cotton out, put the ring in and just use the plastic applicator to put the ring in.
Well having had to help an x of mine take out a tampon after a hot steamy " just grab me and shag me " session, Im a little skeptical how easy this will be to retrieve, that tampon was way back there, only just manage to hook it with a fingernail???
I know what youre thinking, should have taken out the dam thing first, but she suffered from menorrhagia, so it was less blood thirsty this way. This is a great site (all about my vagina) Google it
i'm really confused... surely they guy would feel that? has anyone used it because i'm thinking about it but if its uncomfortable during sex its not worth it... plus does it have nasty side effects that people have been experiencing?
by taking it out, you are still risking pregnancy, and it should not affect sex. there is no need to take it out; it's comfortable, and your partner shouldn't be able to feel it or taste it.
sorry but it may not matter the position in the vagina... but at 1:13.. at dont see how the hell i well take it off if it goes that far into the ovaries....
That's not the ovaries, it's the cervix which is on the outside of the uterus, leading in to your vagina. Your ovaries are in your abdomen on either side of your uterus.
this is why i'm glad i'm a guy. that fing monthly cycle thing is bs. on the other hand having testosterone rage through my body 24/7 isn't fun all the time...it makes me want to smash things that make noise. i am only 23 though.
well no worries for me i don't date male and even if i did i will never put something like that on me for 3 weeks?? i rather take Birth Control Pills instead... but i have nothing against who uses this method Okay!
yeah, but it can be beneficial. certain hormones at the right amount aren't harmful at all. for example: you can take hormones to regulate your menstrual period, clear your skin, etc. you often take hormones when your own hormones aren't at the right levels in your body.
I got my Mirena IUD put in last november during my period. She a numbing spray 2 numb the area and I only felt mild crampin, and it only took 3 minutes, start 2 finish. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be. It causes heavy bleeding the first 3 months, mine already stopped. I have no cramps, stomach pain, and it lightens ur periods, and after 1 year its supposed 2 stop ur periods altogether.
NuvaRing is pretty good. I used it for a year and a half up until last November. I stopped using it because I got tired of puttin it in and takin it out, plus no matter how high I would put it in,it would always make its way down again. Other than that,NuvaRing is pretty decent.
Maybe your friend is uncomfortable with touching her own vagina and putting the ring in hereself. It's easy to use. Maybe your friend isn't patient enough to do it herself. She should practice though and skip the doctor visits.
