I'll see if I can find mechaike from around that time. It looks like this sketch was done several times in the show (that's usually how it is when they build a set), so maybe I can find some more. BTW, be sure to watch こたつポリス if you haven't watched it. It's got sakashita chiriko also, and is soooooo funny. I made a playlist of it in my favorites, so you can find it there.

I'm afraid I don't know for sure, this is from an old unlabeled VHS tape. But, right after the show, there's a commercial for Space Channel 5 Part 2 for PS2, which was released on 2/14/02 in Japan. So, that might ballpark it for you! I'll post if I can find anything else.
