a beautiful song. what is it with this bossa nova? the chords captivate you, inspire you, the rhythm makes you feel so good. It might have a biological reason but I think it's spiritual.

the guitar strings D and B are quite out of tune. For someone extremely demanding as Mr. Gilberto, he should tune it up better before starting playing.

Putz as cordas RE e SI do violão estão bem desafinadas. Pra quem é tão exigente, deveria pelo menos afinar bem o violão.

Bossa Nova was not invented by any of the bossa nova era musicians, this rithym existed since it spawned from samba, and though everyone played there own style in the late 50's there wasn't really a grasp until Joao Gilberto came along, some musicians are song writers, others dominate an instrument well, and some can sing, Jobim could not song or dominate an instrument, but could write music, Joao could sing one way and play another way, a gift that no one has mastered since Joao, perfect match

This continues to inspire me. My life is a mirror of this music now. How does one live without this? Sure there is the beating of the heart and respiration, but it's merely mechanical until you're heart beats in rythm and your lungs are filled with Bossa Nova right? Mere existance is unacceptable after Bossa Nova discovers you. I feel... free and yet willingly surrender myself to it's spell. Again, how did I live without this? I didn't.
