The 3.8L and 6 speed are a great combination, I am very happy with it. Note I have regeared to 4:88 to go with the 35's. If you are not going to lift it I would do the 4:10 if you can. It is great setup for the stock wheels.
Im thinking about getting a Jeep pretty soon. I dont know whether I want a JK or a TJ. How do you like the 3.8L, does the 6 speed match it pretty good?
could a stock cherokee do that?

Maybe, but I would get ready to do a lot of rock stacking in a couple spots.
