And if this song doesn't do it for you (because it IS more poppy then their other songs), go listen to Ego Death and you'll see what i mean. Please listen to this song with headphones for maximum effect...there are some trippy things going on....
Yeah as a hardcore ex NIN fan I'm not impressed with How to Destroy Angels, maybe it's my craving for Trent's voice & lyrical emotion. I saw APTBS open for NIN at American Airlines Center back in 09'...After the lead singer entangled himself in his instrument wires the crowd went silent as they watched him try to untangle himself for 10 minutes....It was very awkward. By the time Trent came out with 1,000,000's bass hitting our chests everyone formed an insane wave, the rest is historyyy.
Please listen to this song with headphones.....there is so much going on that you miss with speakers...you won't be disappointed =) This guy is the Trent Reznor of our generation....god I love this band
@Joeanderson7340 So in that regard, I have been chasing the pill that was those 3 albums for the past 20 years. APTBS' two albums are filled with glorious reverb, wailing guitars and synth lines that give me goosebumps. My brother once said there is music that you listen to & then you listen to in an "altered state" and finally go "Oh I damn that was awesome". These are those albums.
@epicchaos Yes I know Trent is still making music (I have every album)....but lets be honest, he hasn't put out a good album in a long time. My point saying APTBS is the next Trent Reznor, a statement that received quite a few responses, was that when NIN released Pretty Hate Machine, they brought electro-industrial rock to the mainstream. There are few musicians and bands that can ever say they have done that. The two APTBS albums had the same effect on me as PHM, Broken & Downward Spiral.
unbelievable lyrics!!! the music is just awsesome, but the lyrics tell a story that mean a lot to me right now!!! gonna see them for sure live this thursday!!!
Doesnt matter what kinda band you hear in this song (I hear Blur - Song 2), it's a track I'd like to hear on the dancefloor someday. The 'South Central Remix' is a good alternate version aswell!

This is actual post-punk revival, most indie bands that have some form of post-punk influence only have one foot in the door and are more interested in having an indie rock sound. I much prefer this, as it is true to actual post-punk.
Daaamn.....such an addicting track. APTBS are becoming one of my fav. shoegaze/noise bands. I love the way how they mix the sound of noise rock with the tempo and beats of post-punk, makes For people who love noisy stuff like this; Check out The Jesus and Mary Chain Gang - Psycho Candy. NOISSSSEEEEE!
I don't think that as much. If anything, it would be the band Oliver was in prior to starting APTBS -- Skywave. After Skywave broke up, Oliver formed this band, and John and the other person formed the band Ceremony.
If there is any band to compare to Joy Division, it would be New Order.
i like the song, and i like the video, but this is too much of a blatant rip off of "the baby screams" off the head on the door album by the cure. i just cant get over the resemblance. i wanna hate this band, but i'll give them a chance. i saw them on worcester, ma public access tv, lol.
great song from a great band! pls check out our video, we are still trying to get that shoegaze/ambient feel.. just type, jam experiment video file 1 (or video file 2).. leave a comment, thanks!

Any band hugely influenced by the Cure is OK in my books, plus I think they've got their sond right. Influenced but still unique.

I fuckin' love APTBS but i have to admit their more songs are a "little" (for be gentle) copie paste ...
I know i'll see you = In a hole of Jesus and Mary chain ...
Keep slipping away = scream babies of The Cure ...
near plagia for I know i'll see you ...
