seems like the some of the Mustangs tires did not grip the track well either they would continue to spin at take off while the GTO's grip was solid enough to take the win.But that red Mustang 5.0 looks like a fast S.O.B.

When my 05 gto was stock I raced a stock 06 muskrat, raced like 3 times and everytime the goat won. 6sp hits second gear and it's like the mustang was sit'n still.

Did you know that GTO will beat a "top of the line" GT, too? WOW! I dunno what attracts people to Mustang GTs? Is it the mediocre 300hp or the interior that looks like it was derived from a Bigwheel?

Top of the line? LOL. It has the same engine as the base model. Maybe you didn't hear: THE GT IS ENTRY LEVEL, and costs ALOT less than the GTO. You get what you paid for: the GTO is still not as fast as the old Cobra, and doesn't look anywhere near as good as the "mediocre GT"...lol.

I know they have the same 4.6 engine(which is a dog by the way). I was using this new thing, it's called sarcasm; you should try it sometime! I dunno what GT you are talking about being A LOT less than a GTO? Base price for a 2008 GT "deluxe" is around 27K without any options...Which is exactly what I paid for my GTO off of the showroom floor.

I kinda take it back now though lol I made a new friend since then who has a GTO with a funtional ram air hood, front bumper chin spoiler, lowering springs, fender flares and a low-drag spoiler on the edge of the trunk. Fuckin car looks mean! haha much better than stock.

People keep talking about BASE price for the GT and what they actually PAID for their GTO. BASE price on mine was 28.5 but somehow i PAID 23.5. how's that for comparison

OMG!!!!! most of those mustangs that were racing the gto's were modded....no way can a stock 06 or 07 mustang beat a stock 06 pontiac gto

I was there, the GTOs were bad a**, there were some fast mustangs also, but the majority of the GTOs were faster, alot of the mustangs were there for "fun" and didn't have any mods that could compete with most of the GTOs. It was a fun event though, no bashing on one another, a great event, next year I plan to race!

You should def. race. Even if you have a stock car it is some good practice. I got at least 12 runs in that day. And I was parking it for about 30 mins. in btwn. every 2 passes.

What are you talking about? If you were there, the majority of the races were one by the GTO's! Althought, the fastest car present at the race was a Mustang. Plus I think every Goat except like 2 drove to the track. About half of the Mustangs showed up on trailers?!?!
