all you are doing is adding captions. they just play in same time as video overlapping the vid. very noobish

@TheInfurio First of all.. the video MUST already be on YouTube and processed... then go to the video on your account that you want to subtitle, under the YouTube search but above the video is a blue bar, inside there click "Edit captions/subtitles" and then click "Add New Captions or Transcript" and upload via there.

Hey, nice of you to put up this video. Captions really help a lot of people. Even non-native language speakers, etc.

There are other free software out there as well.

I tried Subtitle Workshop which is pretty easy as well.

@TheMistAnchorite you can't, you have to make an spr (or how was it called) file, and then when your video is uploaded on youtube, you should be able to upload the subtitle. Only is this tutorial old and has youtube changed, so i dont know how to add my .spr file to my uploaded video
