Save yourself some time, check to see if you already have the adobe pdf creator.

Hit print in MSWord and one of the printers that pops up should be the pdf creator.

@VeniceInn Thanks so much for your tip! I didn't find the pdf creator in the printer option, but I did find it in the save as area. Never would have thought to look except after I saw your comment :)
