There are no bonuses of exp with large chains. There are, however, item bonuses as big chains make the rarest of items become more common and also, items tend to come in large quantities as well.

i was just curious because i had dont this training chain technique awhile back and to me it seemed that i was leveling faster, but maybe its just because i was mesmorized by the big chain number and didnt pay attention well enough (: great video !

FF12's story is rather dull, but I love the game play and especially the powerleveling potential. It's so rare in RPGs that you can reach such extreme levels like this (maxing out) in reasonable time. Powerleveling is something I specialize in... if my Disgaea videos are any hint.

The earliest possible is right after you get the dawn shard and clear the unexpected event that follows. See my "afterward" section in my powerleveling GameFAQs guide for details on how to get there.

Not at this stage in the story. You can't obtain it until you get the dawn shard, if not still a bit further.

Raise your rank from doing hunts and it'll eventually appear in the clan shop. It's accessible as early as the time you're supposed to go to Jahara. Unless you're at a high enough level, some of the marks can be a real pain.

I use the computer and a TV tuner. A TV tuner is a hardware device that converts the analog signal of television and converts it to a digital form that the computer can use.

I got to level 99, I think it I was at around 275 hours when I did. The mountain he's playing on is the best place to get exp. I shuddered when I saw where this video took place. I spent so much time going up and down that stupid mountain. What a terrible game. It made me cry and wasted almost 300 hours of my life. Maybe that makes it a great game. I don't know.

If you know the trick, it seems feasible to have everyone on level 99... by only 60 hours into the game. I'm making a walkthrough video to explain how to do that. I'm level 58 and barely 21 hours into the game and storywise, the Nalbina Dungeons event is the best. The Cerobi Steppe is the best place to gain levels with ease - cast death on the flying enemies and sleep + thundaga on the others. You'd have to be 85% of the way through the game for this area, however.

you claim that you never use FAQs, but how did you get the zodiac spear? Its impossible to find out not to pick up a few select treasures to get it

I do use FAQs, but rarely. I didn't get the Zodiac Spear on my first play because I got the treasure in front of Old Dalan's place, unaware you were supposed to avoid it. Whenever I get stuck, I use the guide then. One such case was having to summon Belias to get into Giruvegan. I never used summons or quickenings in my first play either. I mostly just develop my own strategy and keep to it.

how did you know the spear even existed? If you use it when you get stuck, you weren't stuck and you weren't looking at part of a FAQ with a walkthrough

I only did so after I completed the game, so that way, I didn't have spoilers, or, at least, the fewest possible spoilers.

I got level 99 since before doing the Nalbina Dungeons event and I have a video showing how I did it. If you want level 99 even quicker, get through the Nalbina Dungeons event and, with the "immobilize" spell, a powerful ranged weapon (the burning bow dropped by dive talon), and preferrably level 50, use the level 39 enemies in the Garamsythe Waterway to gain levels. I estimate I could have it before 75 hours of game play, possibly even 60. Start when Vaan is alone for his final time.

I'm very curious as to how much Gil you would have after you were satisfied with the amount of Dead Bones you killed.

Unfortunately, you can't carry more than 99 of item (I'd likely have over 1000 dark crystals at that point). It's still a good 300,000 or so gil but it takes over 2 hours to get that kind of a chain as it is.

Only 2 hours? What would you say the average rate is for how many monsters you can kill per minute?

It's only because there's so many enemies here of the same type that makes this area so fast. If I went at it for 8 hours, I could have a 1000 chain of Giza's werewolves. Golmore Jungle's panther enemy could take about 3 to 4 hours (estimated), probably the next fastest. The alraune-like enemy in Salikawood is also an easy one, taking about 3 hours. I don't know of anything faster. I got a 14 chain on Leamonde Entite and I've had the top chain level achieved at a 132 chain, the highest yet.

It's just beating the same kind of enemy over and over.

Basically, the more you kill of the same enemy, the higher chain you get. He got this chain by killing 1000 "Dead Bones"

Chains have 4 levels, starting with 0. The higher the level, up to 3, the better the item drops are and the more items of the same type are in a drop. The point at which the chain gains a level seems to be very random. I've had the level 3 chain reached with only 38, but at other times, clear into the 80's. Nearly every enemy can be chained - simply know how to deal with respawns and avoid unwanted enemies.

I have a question about your account: I check when you last signed into YouTube and it says "4 months" but I check your videos and you've uploaded videos from like 1 day ago.

It's a glitch with YouTube that's actually been present for almost a year. If you click "sign out" at the top right corner, then log in again, the counter resets. If you never log out and use cookies, then the counter keeps on ticking. It should be based on "last activity", whether it's posting this reply, uploading a new video, or simply clicking a link to open some page within YouTube. There are several other glitches I'm aware of, one unfixed for 21 months (and counting).

Seems to be exactly 25 skeletons in that one zone judging by "Dead Bones Y".

There is, indeed, 25 present. A backup check is to compare the start of what I had at the very beginning to the point where I need to respawn the enemies. This'll give you a much better idea. I get 956 as the first one and it ends with 980 meaning that there are 25 there (and I ended with a 1005 chain).
