i have encountered one of these atoms on the german autobahn last summer. i was with my 2004 honda cbr 1000 rr with a friend on the back, the car raced me from 140 kph to 275 and it was an equal race .. if i had been on the bike alone i would have taken the lead for sure, but still this is one SICK car!!

Power to weight on the car is STUPID. Bike would lose wet or dry. The car does 0-60 in JUST over 2 sec! Of course its gonna pull from the bike on the back end of the 1/4.

I was practically conceived on 2 wheels like FOR REAL. Raised on and ride bikes of ALL kinds and although I haven't driven the Atom I have seen a TON of stock footage and data... The car is a MONSTER. People can't wrap their head around the idea of a car beating a KICK ASS bike.

I'd love to see 2 pros go at this all day.

@ 23 secs. in the vid...the VMAX pulls away then they cut and show the car ahead @ the 27 sec. mark of the vid. and the VMAX getting off the throttle so the car appears to be pulling away for the win. SHOW a real race w/no editing & you'll see the real results & 1/4 mile times, NOT PAID ADVERTISEMENTS! ! !

2. There was a more capable driver on the Vmax and

3. the Vmax had no speed restrictions like it has from the manufacturer

A bike has no air-contioning no safety features, no air-conditioning, no passenger protection. no audio.......... I COULD LOSE 500kg from a car witthout even trying. could you? ariel atom v8 have 500 hp and around 600 kg with 80 kg driver thats almost 800 hp /ton vmax have slightly moree than 500 hp /ton v8 atom is faster theres no doubt . great video but i wonder why the atom driver slow down befor he hits 400 m?:P

This is pretty bogus, yea the atom ant will outrun it on a wet slickish surface with a rider of questionable skills, it was impossible to judge really. At least he didn't fall down ,which takes some skill in and of itself, given the conditions and the power of the bike.
