I love seeing these two brothers play those drums together because their doing something that they love to do and I love to see it and Carmine is smooth with and I love his playboy mustash and Vinny is great too.
We're from Jersey, not New Jersey. We curse a lot. We say "yo." We know what real pizza tastes like & we know a bagel is more than a roll wit a hole in it.
We judge people by what exit they are off the parkway or what mall they live closest to. We drive SUVs & tailgate any chance we get. All good nights must end in a diner with cheese fries. It's a sub, not a hoagie or a hero & I wash it down with soda, not pop. I have a dawg and drink cawfee.
They have another brother and does anyone know if he is a drummer too. And has anyone ever seen him before and if so do him and Carmine and Vinny favor each other. just asking.
Dude's Carmine is way better than Vinny i like them both but listen to Catus and Beck, Bogert and Appice and learn to enjoy the mad skills Carmine man
Carmine A. never made the real big deal. Ginger Baker (with double-bass) & Keith Moon were more famous in the 60s. in the 70s there were Ian Paice, Bonzo Bonham, Cozy Powell, Carl Palmer, Bill Ward, Simon Philipps,... - each of them with his own prominent trademarks, which Carmine lacks. from the 80s on there were even more technical skilled drummers like Vinnie A., Nicko McBrain, Scott Travis, Mike Portnoy,... - i could fill pages with names... :-)
Man Carmine is not that great Vinnie has way more talent and percision when it comes to technical rolls and beats, hes a fucking solid drummer. Carmine does the same shit every time watch when they go at it near the end and watch vinnies rolls, carmine cant do them lol
I agree with you archeeizm, Bill Ward is one of my main influences in drumming. He not the fastest, but when he plays he bangs the shit of of his kit at the same time as he makes memorible music. Ward really has his own "type" of drumming. I wouldn't even call it a style becasue it is so unique.
They're both great, but if I had to choose it would be Vinnie

I heard Carmine first with Ozzy back in the day, and have always been a fan, but Vinnie is Pure Rock. He's fuckin amazing!

Carmine got prominent by his band and gigs, not by his playing. (just my humble opinion)
just if you might ask: my favorite drummers? no doubt: "little Ian" and Bonzo.
cheers.

Vinnie plays with one bass drum but with two pedals in it. So he does double pedal too.
I like Carmine better. And Booby Rondinelli (a veryn underrated drummer) is better than both Appice brothers.

Vinny does NOT use a double pedal

Vinny tried to fill Bill Wards shoes in the early mid 80s. wasnt terrible but not in the same class as Ward.

is vinny playing double bass at the beginning? quicks 3s? or is that two notes on a single (or even 3 :O)
queenmcsleaze 3 years ago
3 notes on single pedal :D just like Bonham was doing on some of the songs in concerts
i've heard that Vinny can play double bass, but he decided not to :D
