Ahhh all that Baroque Bass.I get in some kind of trance of going back in time when I hear the organ play. What I envision, the place looks very dark and cold, but I see many lighted candles that go in each step, illuminating the spinning, stone stair. I smell burning incense mixed up with scented oils. Hehh, I go up nervously and at the end of the stairs, I see a heavy black curtain. I open it slowly, I see many creepy shadows, so I stay behind the curtain, just staring. Ok, I am dreaming.
there are a whole bunch of vids of Manila Cathedral pipe organ....type in 'steelersfanhawaii' in the youtube search block....by your penname, sounds like you too are a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan.....how 'bout 'em Steelers, let's get a SEVENTH superbowl ring!!!
There are no bamboo pipes in the Manila Cathedral pipe organ. I know the company that restored the organ in 2006. It is interesting to know that the organ has more than 5,600 pipes and was once considered the biggest pipe organ in Asia.
the result of some serious hard work from a bunch of serious craftsman. No, there is more to church music in this great country than Yamaha Electones.
