  • wow what a beautiful lyrics! check the selection of words! unfortunately most of today's bangalis will have to go through a bengali dictionary to understand this song. How rich our Bengali language was!

  • too gud.

  • there is a only one muslim men i respect in my life he is Zazrul. great men in wrong tribe.

  • @TheAntilam brother I'm sorry on behalf of every muslim if u have been hurt by the actions of some misguided muslims which gave u an impression that all of us are bad.

  • <3 this song

  • Love this song, Great song and Anup sang it the best way. I always look for Nazrul sangeet [I like to say nazrul sangeet not geeti] sang by Anup jalota. Thanks for sharing :)

  • my dad says its awsome whatever

  • beautiful song.. on of my most favourite

  • I very well understand that you are from such a country that you feel even ashamed to disclose. You can criticize anyone even if you arent eligible to do so...I wont reply your post against India anymore and I can see that you and your undisclosed country will keep barking for food from India atleast for next few centuries for sure..

  • @sujitnarayanghosh

Listen you old fart, for thousands of years India's been practicing the worst crime against the humanity in the name of caste system. Women are forced to kill themselves thrown in the fire, deprived of all basic human needs as widow. The darkest and most complicated society even today. 55% of the population go to sleep hungry, thousands of farmers commit sucide every year, poor human development indexes in every aspect of life, slapped by China left & right. Poor Giant?

  • u guys should be in a TV show :)

  • @altrnatvthinker : Dude.. you seem to be living in a fantasy world. It is a fact that in Bangladesh, there is serious political movement by several fundamentalist and Islamic organizations, to carefully remove the part of its own history that is related to pre independent and united India. Read bangla newspapers and listen to BNP begum zia's comments in details. Bangladesh needs to see the world through its heritage and not religion. Get active in other bangla forums and you will know the vibe.

  • @zoxtannin

Dude, you seem to be living in pure illusion. Those tiny religion based parties

have no follower base in BD politics. They even cannot secure more than 3 seats together on their own in the parliamentarian elections.

Now look at the paper democracy India! Those Hindu fanatics run the central and states goverments who keep killing the muslims, depriving them from all sorts of basic rights, destroying mosque & grabbing land, threatening to kick them out of India all the time.

  • Oshadharon gan amader dukhu miar

  • Very beautiful song! I see an argument going on in the comments. Its a shame that such a beautiful and artistic society such as India, Bangladesh and Pakistan is plagued by both extremists and poverty. I am Saudi Arabian Muslim but my grandmother was Bengali from Kolkata. I am 100% AGAINST all extremism and violence, whether it comes from Muslims, Hindus, Christians, Atheists, etc and we as a global community must work together to fight extremism in all its ugly manifestations!

  • @AbdullahKhaleeji7

I am sorry to say to this half bengali and half Saudi gentleman the fact that the 'term' extremism does not indicate any particular group, for example, christian, Hindu, muslim or secular extremist. Can you therefore, clarify which group of extremist you want to fight. Finally, I will thank you to raise this issue. By the way I am a Bengali living in London. pls reply soon

  • @AbdullahKhaleeji7

i salute you for comprehensive outlook - love and regards with respect

  • @AbdullahKhaleeji7 No it's called ignorance. Bunch of fucking politicians separated us and now we hate each other for THEIR mistakes. This is the pinnacle of human stupidity. Same shit happened w/ N.S Korea, China vs Japan, Japan vs Korea, Russia vs US. Same old human stupid shit. Only those who can see beyond these pathetic foolishness can learn to be a human. I agree w/ you.

  • Thanx guy u have written like a true human being...how come people quarrel over such issues.M also a bengali...bt I feel myself as an Indian first....and above all a human being..God is for all frm wherever u are whoever u are..huh!!! Guys like Kazi Nazrul Islam n Tagore were true beings..not orthodox nationalists....:-)we are proud of them coz they r genuine beings..ever born on this earth....

  • @AbdullahKhaleeji7 I dont want to be rude but PAKISTAN ARTISTIC?.Ha..ha.I am not making fun of Pak here but folk art aside ,the western part of India never gave too much importance to arts like the eastern part did , now a section of western India is Pak but still the culture is the same .I am from western India too and in our homes children are more interested in interest rates than in poetry or painting ..of-course , nothing wrong with being interested in commerce, just pointing the difference

  • guys finisd all da conversation.they r great for us.they leave behind the most beautiful songs(nazrul geeti and rabindra sangeet).why we all da time arguing about religious things.i dont understand.i never feel that way.wen i listen their songs its gives me somfing.i cant tell u guys how i feel.leave all da fings. AND THEY ARE TWO LEGEND MAN IN THE WORLD.WE ALWAYS RESPECT THEM.AND LOVE THEIR SONGS ALL THE TIME.

  • Brothers,

I do respect Bangladesh and its people same as you do. We are genetically same Bengali spreading all over the world. But only one thing hurts me that why we discard the gems of Tagore or Nazrul in the name of religion only...why so many best songs of tagore or nazul are not sung in this part of the world in fear of fundamentalists. Surprisingly everyone avoided to answer this question. My intention is to correct our actions and not to blame or accuse anyone.

  • @sujitnarayanghosh Stop trolling this page. You are ignorant. Go back to the hole where you snuck out of. The music is beautiful, just appreciate or leave. Why are you so threatened by your own brothers, while India sells out to America? Go save Goa, where parts of Goa are essentially owned by Israelis. They even don't let Indians come to the beach. That's how pathetic Indians are. They hand over their country to anything white.

  • @catsmew

It seems u r from some losing country and been kicked out from Goa..We are sorry to hear that. Anyways.listen to music and stay deprived from good songs as you dont have guts to protest.... I know you are jealous of India's progress as in your liftime you cant see your country nearer by even an inch to the same spot..India is a superpower in all terms these days...and what losers say..we are not bothered ..

  • @sujitnarayanghosh India's progress? Hah. There is no progress. Just believe the hype your master's give you. India has the largest poorest population in the world. Superpower? Hah. First try to get some running water, ass wipe. You're pathetic. You're fighting against brothers, while White people take over your agriculture, local ecnomy, and use you as a pawn against China. India is a joke.

  • Stop MAORAs singing bangla gaan PLEASE. They rape the songs!

  • awsum!awsum!

  • kazi nazrul islam is a great poet as he wrote that kind of poet,no one belive he is a muslim to read this poet.though he did not belive he is belongs in muslim or hindu religion.

  • kiabath hai

  • Interesting debate around essentially an ego - who's a better Bengali? For God's sake - that debate's kinda prehistoric.

Today - 2010 - take a look at the cable tv media of the two countries - less said the better about the acoustic driven, modified voices that sing de-copyrighted tagore's lyrics; and let's just take a count of the Nazrulgeeti singers or Tagore singers across the two nations today who can sing with their open voice.

So is the Trinamool driven Bengal doing a great service?

  • @roganjosh2008

There is no debate who is better Bengali. We all bengalis are same by heart and nature. But can you tell me honestly why one of the best Bengali song "Banglar Mati Banglar Jol" isnt sung in Bangladesh. Why cant we take lesson from Nazrul and tagore to go beyond all sorts of walls which divides own brothers?

  • @sujitnarayanghosh .You have very bad impression about eastbengal(bangladesh).one hindu bengaly from australia writting in newspapers i was reading taht a hindu bengaly from west bengal saying to him that rabindranath is not respected so much in bangladesh, he of course w as angry by hearing that bcs he(that hindu) after all a bengaly and born in east bengal and of course he w aould not tolerate any wrong self made idea by indians.

  • Fod Gods sake can we stop blaming and accusing each other Bangladesh was once India..and for centuries we have shared the same continent...we still share the same cuisine/same culture so lets stop this right now...please this is a request..lets enjoy this beauiful song and lets say Kazi nazrul islam u were/are will be immortal and RIP...God bless your soul...may kalimata bless you all..

  • We dont share everything. Would have loved to do so. Some people unfortunately doesnt have freedom to listen good songs of Tagore or Nazrul even. Can anyone please give me a link of Banglar Mati Banglar jol please..

  • @TheKalimata ,you r very correct.it was all one and united we haev a shared history,we r not so brutal ar europeans,we have same family values so we should have nothing against each other we only have to share mny thing.hate is not the basis of humanity but resoecting each other is the basis of humanitythank u kalimata for yur defence!

  • Dear friends, touch & love with respect please...

  • can any 1 uploud this song .

{bulbuli nirob nargis bone}Nazrul Sangeet singer Anup Jalota as well plz thnx

  • thnx u so much for uploud this song

  • sorry to interrupt guys, after all this fuse i think i have to say something about this current topic. I am a bangladeshi bangali as well like bangguyraj but unfortunantly my view is totaly different from his becuase we have some people who carries the religion on a spoon to mixed it up with everything and make us a great loser to reconzise our own assets like rabindranath tagore and nazrul.

  • Now it is my turn to reply. I understand by now who should be ashamed for what. But We Indian Bengalis really feel sorry for you guys who love music, irrespective of its religious flavors, but cannot sing or even listen to those gems as because you are not allowed to do. I am proud to be an Indian bengali .

  • TheMandira/bangguyraj,

Please provide me a link of" Banglar Mati Banglar Jol" song which is the undisputed best Tagore song written on Bangla during "Bongo-Bhongo andolon in 1905.

I will wait for a week to get your reply ..or else I would request you to withdraw your remarks. I love Bengali Songs but cannot tolerate the abuse of this treasure. I see Dhana dhanya Pushpebhora in your TV channels but never seen or listened Bangal Mati Banglar jol....if you have real honest heart..please reply

  • SujitNarayanGhosh,

Aren't you being little too communal & childish? So you think Bangladesh can't produce some Nazrul Sangeet singers! Interesting! Anup Jalota isn't even a Bengali! I find you Indian Bengalis run so behind par today's Indian standard in every aspect of life compared to other states, yet never miss a chance to brag in the name of India. And you've preferred religion over nationalism back in 1947which left you being nothing but the Whinny Baby of India today. Shame on you!

  • I am looking for the best ever Tagore song written on Bangla ..east or west doesn't matter , sung by any Bangladeshi Singer. . "Banglar Mati banglar Jol". I would be grateful if someone can give me a link in Youtube to listen that great song. If you cannot then I will reply Mondira'a comment. If you can then it would certainly help me to change my ideas.

  • @sujitnarayanghosh To those who is asking if Banglar Mati Banglar Jol was ever sung in Bangladesh.

Please buy the album: Mukto Koro Voi (Robindronather Desher Gaan) peresented by Bengal Foundation. Kono kichu na jana ba kom jana oporadh noi. Kintu, na jene ba kom jene challenge kore boshata opradher porjai pore kina, sheta vebe dekhar onurodh roilo.... Sobai valo thakun..

  • You got me wrong. Bangladesh Produced the best Nazul geeti singer. Firoza Begum. Excluding Firoza begum,Runa Laila and Rezwana Chaudhury we cant think of bengali music . Moreover after Tagore who made Bengalees known all over the world is Ustad Allauddin Ali from Maihar. I am 100% bengali and not communal at all. What makes me sad is there are some great songs in Bengali which arent sung in Bangladesh as those have some religious words. pardon me if I have hurt your feelings.

  • By the Way...you rightly said..I am really ashamed as my mother tongue is same as of those of your country, who dont allow you guys to sing or listen to the best of bengali songs in the name of religion.

  • I forgot to inform you that the greatest bangla song with the word ' Bangladesh' written by Tagore is "Aaji Bangladesher hridoy hote..." I doubt you can get it in your country. But dont forget to listen in the voice of any Indian singer.

  • Oh I love this song!

Very soul searching, mistic expression of Sufism.

    Thanks for uploading though.

  • Dear bangguyraj,

Please listen to this fine song "madhuban mein radhika nache re" .Written by Sahir, music composed by Naushad Ali, Sung by Mohd Rafi and acted in film by Dilip Kumar(Yusuf Khan).....This is the true picture of India..No one else could do it better. Please give your email ID if you really want to know about the fact related to MF Hussain, as you mentioned on your posting.

  • I really appreciate that you have posted such a nice song what I was looking for. I am thankful for that. But fact remains fact. I need to share something with you without compromising any of our dignity if you give your email address. Thanks again.

  • I can only say one thing that even today you had to select a song from an Indian singer to post here as you cant get it in Bangladesh. I really appreciate it and understand that you are different than the folks who doesnt allow to sing songs of tagore and Kazi sahab which has different religious touch. I would been the happiest person if the Bengal was one. dont misunderstand me. I place human before religion like all Indian Bengalis. Give me your email ID I will share something on MF Hussain.

  • It's a song for God's sake, not a political/religious forum. I think you found yourself in the wrong place. To reply back to your concerns, I sure do have a few things to say, but again I won't becuase this is not the place for all these. So just enjoy the song, will ya?

We live in a world of information technology today. So we all know who is who! Living with India & dreaming for one Bengal-very convenient, huh! But it requires some gutts to be part of one Bengal. Didn't happen in 1947.

  • @bangguyraj @ Just ban this asswipe please. He is trolling. Delete all of his comments. He is a typical Indian who thinks by acting White he's somehow superior to his neighbors. India is nothing more than a pawn of the White colonialists, and sixty years later is still a collaborator. At least Muslims fight against the imperialists. These are the typical idiots who allowed the Brits to divide and conquer one of the oldest civilizations. Ban this numbskull.

  • @sujitnarayanghosh . ireally did not understand what you mean here.do you want to say that you do not get any indian singer,s song in bangladesh? whole of life i hear /listen indian old bangla song and never bangladeshi song except modern day polligiti.we ahve nothing against indian bengalees as vice versa(indian bengalees thinks about us)yes one united bangla was beter than divided

  • @sujitnarayanghosh Mahatma Ghandi would be proud of you, by the way not only Bengal, we were [Whole India] destroyed by British nasty plan and we still hate each other someway; hidden in blood :( Our poet was political and I am proud of him. Anup sang it very well and I love his voice. :)

  • I am 100% bengali apart from Indian. No Indian bengali is communal. India has so many religion, language and different culture.Let us not discuss about all these.bengalis are always progressive. But when we see even today only those songs of Tagore and Kazi Sahab is sung in Bngaldesh which doesnt have any touch of Hinduism, I feel sad. You guys miss most of the good works of these poets.pls give ur email ID ,I will send a mail related to MF Hussain. You will understand yourself.

  • Nazrul was Indian by all means. yes he was Bengali. But if he wrote this song being a Bangladeshi today, he would have been killed of had to leave the country for sure.

  • @sujitnarayanghosh

    Thanks for your comment!

Kazi Nazrul Islam, however, was honored as the national poet of Bangaldesh long after he wrote this song or "Bidrohi" or a whole bunch of Shyama Sangeet. It's never been a problem then, nor it is now.

When he used to write, there was one country, British India. But he wrote in Bangla and he is a Bangali. So please don't try to make him another Indian poet, like you do with Tagore.

You be proud of being an Indian & let us be as a Bangladeshi!

  • @bangguyraj Hi, sorry 2 push myself in the conversation but just to make myself clear, I have a question. Why Nazrul had to leave Bangladesh or get killed if he had written any songs being a Bangladeshi?

  • @Afjalhossain:

Hi. Well, that statement actually came from Mr. sujitnarayanghosh that if Nazrul were to live today as a Bangaldeshi and would write something like this song I've posted, he would have been killed or kicked out of the country.

Why did he think so, I don't know. I too wondered like you did!

  • @bangguyraj .afzal hussein ki gorte thake na matir upore thake ami to sottii confused. Does he know anything about nazrul or about bangladesh? or is just like a racist hindu who hates everything in bangladesh? lol.

  • @Afjalhossain

one one sentence to answer to all of you...as Nazul wrote Shyama Sangeet . Though I am sorry if I have hurt the feeling of others. What I wanted to say is to avoid and protest against evil powers who divides us.

  • And BTW, since Nazrul is no more today & I do appreciate your concerns for his well being (though he fell seriously ill & lost his conciousness & creative self due to pure ignorance-poverty & lack of proper medicare while Mr. Tagore used to cruise the world with the mercy of the Britsh, grandpa's zamindari awarded by the Britsh), please do us all a favor---make sure that Mr. M. F. Hussein doesn't have to live in exile outside India with a death threat on his head in the last days of his life.

  • @bangguyraj

Also For Taslima Nasrin. When bangladesh govt. through out her. When talk, talk with sincierly or trapped in ur own word.

  • purna,

A writer with no literary brain directly hurts religious faith & opposite sex in the name of feminism is disgusting specially when the neighboring country & it's media & institutions encourage, sponsor & reward this stupidity.

But in paper democracy India, Hussein painted goddess in nude. The same goddesses that are shown in the temples, in the ramayana & mahabharata naked & having group orgy illustrating all the kamasutras. And yet, MF Hussein gets life threats & live in exile.

  • @FACHJ

Which goddess nude in temple.I think u contradict kali with saraswati.First he painted mother India nude.Let we know muhammad is piss be upon him and so Taslima is right also many Arabian scholar directly said muhammad is fanatic and raped every woman of that time.He married a elderly lady khadija and so u think he is human in any angle. Also taslima has more reputation than fanatic mf hussain.

    Waiting for ur reply.

  • @purnapragya

To begin with I shoudn't have wasted my valuable human time on you who I think is less intelligent than a moneky or a cow or a rat. Oops sorry, moneky/cow/rat - they all are your Gods, I forgot. Listen you retarded, when did you add Taslima on your Goddess's list?

33 billions Good/Goddesses + Amitabh + Sachin + Shahrukh + Taslima + who else? Did you start worshipping all the latest virus and bacterias as your Gods/Goddesses yet? How about AIDS, Dengu? No need to respond!

  • @FACHJ

So muhammad fucked the wife, daughters of ur Allaha then think ur Allaha not protect his family how he protect u?So the camel piss drinker and worshiper of flying donkey and jinn never talk about intellect. So finally ur Allaha now so angry that he lost his wife and daughters to fanatic piss be upon him Muhammad. Also Aids r common feature of muslim, review report of Indian Aids campign. Now start the revelation.

  • @purnapragya Someone who doesn't know how to write a sentence properly with punctuation and grammar saying stuff against a scripture that is not even his. reading and copying+pasting is easy my friend. But it takes years and years of diligent work to understand even ONE word of any religious scripture. Learn to respect scriptures from all religion. SInce you don't have that much time to do the research, this is the least you can do. May your gods teach you how to be calm and passionate.

  • @mindsoulbody idiot, its comment not something prose, and we use some short form and grammerless word for just represent our view.So idiot like u not realise how to comment and how to write prose.Goto primary school for ur non educated brain.

  • @purnapragya "for just represent our view." "idiot like u NOT realise". "Goto" "non educated". These fragments of sentences say alone that someone like you can't form sentences properly, let alone punctuations. It's easy to bark than bite. Come face to face in front of the majority of people and we shall see who needs to go to primary school imbecile.

  • @mindsoulbody

So barking ---------- not bite. And u proved that ur falacy has not existance entity like ur washed brain.Comment not need grammer or punctuation as barked by u.hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...............................................

  • @FACHJ

And they ask you (O Muhammad ) concerning the Rûh (the Spirit); Say: "The Rûh (the Spirit): it is one of the things, the knowledge of which is only with my Lord. And of knowledge, you (mankind) have been given only a little."

-Surah Al-Isra' (The Journey by Night)

So finally he confirmed he has little knowledge like donkey.so donkey how u feel?

  • @FACHJ lmao when you said worshipping bacterias and viruses. Although I must say, when MOST ppl read ALL religious scriptures and without a second thought (by that I mean months of diligent research, consultant w/ professors and theologians of hardcore knowledge) say something so discriminatory, I had to laugh than get angry. His ignorance is seen among muslims, christians, and hindus. Amazing. Just amazing.

  • @bangguyraj .hahaha...........true bro......what can i say, u summed it all up..lolzzzzzzz

  • @bangguyraj What Bangladesh did with Nazrul we all know, forcefully took him to Bangladesh, his family has returned to India and living here in India now. Dirty politics done by Bangladesh to him will remain in history, at least Kaji Sabyasachi, his grandson has mentioned this several times. Do not speak dirty on Tagore, whose song was banned in east pakistan. M. F. Hussain paints picture showing vagina of mother Saraswati, ask him to draw fucking scenes of Prophet who enjoyed his daughterinla

  • @bangguyraj I know your comment is old but I would like to say thats its very wrong to compare Nazrul with someonr like Hussain . I appreciate hussains work but it seems to me he had something against Hinduism , he himself once said that who he wants to disrespect he paints nude and he did the same with Hindu deities and again and again . Nazrul on the other hand, deeply respected Hinduism and all faiths for that matter , creativity is alright but it should not be disrespectful.

  • @bangguyraj

    well said bro

  • @bangguyraj good work bangguy AKA member of CyBangGang!

  • Bengali, Bengaladeshi, Indian-all these are mistakes done by our ancesters. Lets just think about human beings and good songs. We love Kazi Nazrul, so he is ours-if you love him, he is yours too. There are good people and there are bad people. But it is not good to make comment about a country. You have to understand that there are 150 million people in Bangladesh and you can not judge them by reading newspapers, most of which write fairy tales. Anyway, lets listen to this beautiful song!!

  • @zinnatun1644

You are right...my intention was not to comment on a country ...My comment was made for those people who are not allowing us to listen to other gems of Tagore or Nazrul... when I am talking about a song like " Banglar Mati Banglar Jol"...how can I abuse that MATI ...Taslima was rightly kicked out...as she played with the sentiments of people..to get limelight...we cannt hurt feeling of others..but should understand what is right and what is wrong.

  • @sujitnarayanghosh Your comment makes zero sense. Indians are essentially collaborators of the British, and are now the new buttboys for Americans. Please save yourself some embarrassment and instead of sniffling at the feet of White Imperialists, try to learn to learn your own history. Bengalis and at least Bangladeshis don't sell out to the first White Shahib they see. Nazrul Islam was Bangladeshi, and he is a revolutionary, something Indian collaborators won't understand.

  • I dont want to comment on you in same coin as to do that I have to comment against a country I love. Nazrul or Tagore was Indian or Bangladeshi thats not important. What is important is to sing and listen to their songs. Some real gems are not still sung in bangladesh and no one dares to object to that...that was my topic of discussion...Again I am trying to resist myself to reply your comment on India .
