All of those hating on the UPCI are the same ones who left because "They wanted to go deeper in God". Let me translate that statement. . . "Those who were nobodys and wanted to be in charge." They were those who would rather be a big fish in a small pond rather than a small fish in the biggest pond.
I've heard Bro. Godwin preached and it was AWESOME and by the way...UPC,we are UPC my church is a part of that organization and you know what? God moves!!! :)
man created denomination not God I got issues with people who openly attack anyones denomination we are responsible for our own area all a denomination does is identifies your basic articles of faith if anything check your self we don't have time for petty bashing.....

I was a fourth generation memeber of the UPCI(unitl I was 25 and I am now 32). My Grandfather was a pastor and my Father was in the ministry. I speak nothing of the message. I know him personally and that is just what I think of HIM. The only condemnation comes from him and those in the pulpit and those in the UPC. He is a poster child for judgmental, egotistical, preachers and one of the reasons most people including myself think the UPCI is cultish and damaging.

I am sorry you faced this type of damage in the UPC- This type of thing seems typical.
I wish there was a way to take all the good -
Like Alexandria music, and some of the worship
and throw away all the death giving stuff.
My wife and I left the UPC in 1999 for many reasons as well, but not because we were upset,
but rather felt God was leading us into
more of him.
There is life outside this small denomination
and I hope you are still going after God
regardless of UPC
