i started writing a book, im very inspired by the author Hermann Hesse. and I'm writing a book called DEMON: The Seeker. I'm 16 and I plan to have a book published by the age 20. i want it to be a book to remember, something that will make people re-read.
I would like to publish a book, but.. when I have my book written, what is the next step? Who do I call? Where do I go? Send it in? But mostly, I don't know where to begin--of writing a book.
I would like to write a children's book, an educational type book. I'm 21.
i've been writing stories all of my life.. im only 15 but still. all of these videos just tell you to write write write no matter if your not driven or if you have no idea on your novel at the moment... i bought some of these "guide lines" heck their wastes of money in my book. I say that everyone is different and you cant tell someone how to write THEIR OWN book. If you have an idea write, if you dont take a break. find what works for you. dont just trust these quacks' judgements. trust me.
I'm 17 and i started my first story when i was 13. i now have a total of 11 stories and 4 poems. I really want to write a book one day. I have a good idea in my head but always get writers block! >_<! I LOVE to write about dragons! i also LOVE dragons!!
@XxMadMax593 Wow I seem to be just like you! I'm 13 and am beginning my first science fiction book. I also love dragons and tried writing a fantasy about them last year. However, my computer actually discontinued working so the file was lost. I have an ambiguous idea of my first book that I will be able to finish.
im trying my hand at book writing, last year i did the first chapter, this year i compleatly scrapped the entire setting, most of the charicters, and i have still to really think out a plot. i just re-finished the first chapter...this is hard work....
I always have wanted to be a writer and my parents say that I can write but I never get past a chapter because when I re read it always sounds silly, any help?
@LLTweenProductions you should see what people think of it so far (other then you mom) and if they say it's good and they are telling the truth then its good. i too think my work sound silly but other people love it. Also i write short stories and poems about the movie How To Train Your Dragon. If you want to read them go to Fanfiction (dot) net and search my username, MWA220
Hey, I'm 14 and I've been writing the same 'book' since i was 8. I've been re-writing it and adjusting it and its getting better and better. I'm no where near finished yet, but I know if I continue to re-read and write it, I'll do great! :')
I began to write my book, 5 months ago. And i wrote about 10 chapters. Sometimes the inspiration is absent. And we have to wait. sometime we are able to write 2 chapters in a day. It always depends of the time.
Writing a good book is one challenge but in order for a book to sell, the author must have an eye catching design and an attractive product. Otherwise nobody will pick it up off the shelf. I've been helping authors design books and designing the page layout. The results have been helpful. I have a few videos on my channel that might be helpful.
I've been writing a book for over 4 years...only on the 4th chapter. Some people can write a book in a couple of days, others a couple of years or more. My advice is to just write what comes, put it down, go back to it later and re-read it, make any corrections or adjustments and go from there. Take notes, nothing is invalid. At the end of the day, write the book for YOURSELF! That way, no matter what happens with it, you'll feel accomplished!
@GhostAholics wow four years!! thats gud. i write everyday but i dont seem to get any better. anyway, ive never written past chapter 1. everytime i finish, i reread it and end up hating it. :P
@Minisazzerella - "An Introduction To Mental Space Theory", Toru Kunishige. Written in 2 days from his notes. wetasphalt(dot)com/?q=content/how-write-book-three-days-lessons-michael-moorcock.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle - kids classic, written in one day.
I'm 14, and I would just say to stick with it, keep writing and read a lot too. Read a lot, write a lot, be original, edit, and there you go. You should have a book. Hope that helps.
I'm 12 and when I was six I wrote a 21 page story but it's not great. I love writing stories and have filled up four A4 note pads with my storys. I write horror and like to include mythical creatures such as werewolves vampires etc. I'd love to publish a book one day
I'm 13 Years Old Aswell And In The Pre-writing Stage Of A Book I Have Wanted To Write Forever. I Think It's A Very Dramatic And Realistic Idea That I Would Love To Have Published When I'm Done.

Next argument?
GhostAholics 1 year ago
@GhostAholics The Very Hungry Caterpillar could have been written in an hour; there's a total of what, 30 words?
Minisazzerella 1 year ago
@Minisazzerella - and your point is? It is one of the best selling children's books of all time! It doesn't matter how long it took to write!
GhostAholics 1 year ago
@GhostAholics exactly, it's a children's book. an actual novel is much harder to write and takes way more time.
Minisazzerella 1 year ago
@Minisazzerella - that's just your opinion. I've already quoted books written in days and what - you still want to make a point? (@_@)?

think of it this way. if you can read a high grade novel you can write a high grade one
popmomcorn 3 years ago
Not necessarily. It takes practice, hard work, and staying focused. Even then it might not be as "high grade" as you imagined.
