@HDIcehockey Whatevs, its not like its best-on-best. Sweeden has Landeskog in the NHL but we have Skinner, Hall, RNH, Seguin etc. Canada would win every year if we had all our eligible players. Look at 05, the year of the lockout. It wasn't even close.

Anywho, if the nordic countries were nearly as large as Canada I think they'd be the dominating in most team sports, cause they do a great job already with the small amount of players they have. But of course, a larger population isn't as easily sustainable so one can never know for sure.
@theade8 Actually the average income in Russia is just over a third that of Canada when adjusted for purchasing power (though income distribution probably isnt as even). But that shouldnt matter because if they truly loved the game they would play it all winter like we do in Canada no matter the income. In my home city(Calgary) we have over 100 free outdoor rinks that are maintained by volunteers and are full every night even past -20. All you need are skates and a stick.

If the whole NHL didnt have a ton of divers then i would be really embarrassed when the canucks dive. This show of diving by this goalie is honestly pretty bad.. I could understand one of those dives in a game but like all 4 or 5 or whatever.. pretty bad

However, once again we are in the finals and we win the games that matter...unlike the pathetic swedish team. Sweden is right where they belong...off the podium (of course once they lose to the US).
