got a pail full of 'seconds' - crappy corn cobs that still smoke okay - so when one gets to the point I can't draw through it any longer - oh yeah...I don't clean squat... - I'll just turf it in the dust bin, as our friends across the pond like to say - you can get a couple hundred 2nds for next to bugger all - if you got this far reading my comment, please note that I's just goofin' around, that's all - moderate cleaning after each smoke - cheerio! ; ) MM - 2nds for sale? hell if I know......
i normaly just put it in the passenger seat after letting it cool in my car ashtray for a few minutes. i let the michigan winter have its way with them when i often forget about them. then when i run put inside i get them and bring them in. bad, sad, but true. i yhink i have 3 pipes in my car at the moment( thats about the only place i smoke pipe now that it is cold out
I tend to just dump the ash and dottle out of the pipe, I'll run the pipe tool maybe once around the bowl to catch anything stuck in there. I'll leave it 20 or 30 mins to cool and then clean with pipe cleaners. btw 5 Starts for Slither playing in the back ground.
I usually clean up pipe with cotton cleaner every time after the pipe cool down. But when I try new tobacco which I find not my taste, even pipe is still hot, I immediately clean up whole pipe thoroughly so that the pipe does not keep the taste.
wt i do is tht i smoke each pipe twice a day and then rest it on the waiting stand and by the end of the week i clean all my pipes with whiskey dipped pipe cleaners and shank brush and replace it back in the cabinet,,easy procedure and fairly sufficient and i use pipe cleaner in my smoking session only if the pipe taste bitter or gurgle and when m done ill dump the ashes straight away
Hi! I usually clean the pipe after smoking, but only with a pipe cleaner. Somebody cleans it with alcohol, but I think it's not necessary. Always keep it on a cool, dry place.

The pipe must have a rest at least 24 hours. So 1 day, 1 pipe and of course 1 tobacco. :)
