@p0olplayer Sorry, but that's not really true anymore. That myth that is a hold-over from a period where beer canning technology wasn't as good as it is now. Many moons ago cans were bad for beer because they were not lined with anything on the inside, but almost all modern cans are lined on the inside to protect the beer from picking up any off tastes from the metal. I rarely run into bad cans, and I'd pick Heineken in a can over the regular green bottle, which can skunk up from light strike.:)

Heineken is fantastic. I don't see why you hate it so much. It's a great beer for being a "macro brew." It's better than Bud and Miller and etc.

It's a quality beer for where it's at. And personally, the smell isn't bothersome. Infact, you must be a fucking pansy to notice the smell so much -_-

Just get some, drink it, then comment on the taste.

When I was younger and lived in England I remember Heinee being very skunky and even syrupy. It had a very strong taste to it that I really liked. It felt like a real premium lager. Nowadays when I drink it it feels too light and generic. I'm not sure whether they have cheapened the recipe or my tastebuds have changed but its not as enjoyable as it once was. The same happened with Kronenberg and Holsten so I guess im changing. Lastly if your not a lager fan then surely its unfair to review it.

Nice review. I ran out of money a few days a go wanted Heineken and got rolling rock almost taste the same. I recommend Heineken Keg. If you get a keg make sure you shake it before you buy it. If you don't you will get a lot of foam not to mention a half empty keg.

The glass with a gold rim is called a "vaasje" and its not shaped like the glass in this clip. Here in the netherlands Heineke is just the most regulair beer around. Nothing special. you drink it to get drunk thats all thats to it. If you want speciality beers then try hertog or duvel.

You know, I was tempted to name Chimay Grande Reserve, but really I've had several beers like it...and then I considered various fruit beers...but I'd have to gow ith the Innis & Gunn Rum Cask beer that came out as a winter special. I've never had anything so interesting beer-wise as far as complex flavours go.

Nice review mate, It's a good thing you pointed out the easy drinking quality. It's what defines this beer as the easy go-to foreign beer that you can get practically anywhere in the world. Just enough taste to cater to basic euro-lager interests and simple enough drinking for the masses. I'd pass given what else is available at the beer store. It's also nice to be able to identify with someone onscreen for a change as opposed to a can/bottle and a glass.

That's tough, man. I can only speak on what I've had, so I'd say DAB, Tuborg, Harp Lager, and perhaps Moosehead would be tops. They are what come to mind. I could be forgetting something, mind you.
