  • Cool video, thanks John for another cool video promoting Ham Radio! I love my Buddie pole also. I could have built one, but I have to tell ya when my wife bought me mine I was very happy not to have had to try to build one myself. I'd a done it, but glad I did not:) This kit from Bud is amazing! I use mine at hotels, Ham fests, camping etc. With my IC7000 wow is all I can say. It is Number 1 GI !!!! 73 Jimmy, ARRL TC, WX9DX

    Jimmy,

Tnx for your comments and for following along. The Buddistick is really a nice antenna. Hope to catch you on the air someday.

  • Yes, they are an amazing antenna. I have worked Budd, W3FF many times on 40m while he has been bicycle mobile running one. This is one reason why I like 40m: it is a band where you can put out a very big signal without too much of an antenna; since the losses in a coil are nothing compared to what they are on 75m!

  • Life is too short NOT to QRP !!! i love QRP. CQ CQ CQ AI4QT

  • John, FB on the Video. A couple of weeks ago during a Hot spell here in the San Francisco North Bay I took my 703 and Buddipole and setup as a VersaTee Verticle just West of the Golden Gate Bridge and Sausalito. Didnot setup on the Beach but at a Picnic Table less than 100feet away from it. Worked Colorado and Kansas on 20m late afternoon. Love that setup. I too would like to see the home brew Power Distribution Box as well. 73 de Steve KB6HOH

    Steve,

Thanks for your comments. I am really enjoying using the Buddistick and am continually amazed at the performance of such a small, portable antenna.

BTW: I have a series on building the Powerpole Distribution Box. You can search my video channel for it.

  • Always excellent videos sir!

I like the set up and the chance to listen in on your QSO.

A video on the distribution box would be appreciated sometime in the future.

  • @USNERDOC -- David,

    Thanks for your kind comments.

I will be doing a video on the homebrew Anderson Power Pole distribution box. It’s really simple to make. However, I am waiting on this MS weather to cool down a little!
