I upgraded to this phone a couple of weeks ago!..whilst it is an amazing phone.and the HD video function is also very good!...if you record a video your self especialy live music you be dissapointed by the sound quality which is really really awful! I have since returned this phone to phone company! whats the point in inventing and spending all that time, effort and money creating a phone that has exellent HD video capability if it sounds rubbish on playback?....Very dissapointed!

I've had the phone for a couple of months now and it is pretty damn good. The HD camera/screen situation (and it does mention this in the booklet) is that it will record in HD, but won't playback in HD. A bit silly, but getting an HD screen on a mobile is quite a tricky one to negotiate.

There is a bit of lag with the touchscreen, and the flash doesn't seem to sync with the camera (got a lot of all-black photos in my folder), but other than that, it's a top, top phone.

Indeed - I have one of these phones, and i record video at full settings with 1280 by 720 resolution. The playback quality is quite amazing. Don not be confused by anything else its is the best playback ive seen yet on any mobile phone. Yes it has its limitiations elsewhere in the sense that apps support is not as great as iphone but - its really beats the iphone hands down on everything else. Drag and drop files to and from a PC... - no need for itunes, bluetooth is unrestricted too..

I don't find it laggy. But of course it depends on how intensive you use it. I don't have a memory card in it. Only the 8 gig, that's enough for me. The screen is very responsive and faster than the N97. Yes the update is about to come within a week. I'm waiting for it. Didn't know it could be any better ( except the audio for videos).

The only bad point is the software S60v5 (so also for Nokia N97). Not many applications have been made. But it's just a matter of time. Try it out in the store.

Ok fine....I've been considering this phone for awhile now. You've strengethened my conviction to get it. The Samsung Jet is nice as well and has a faster Processor, But the i8910 looks more professional in my opinion and I like the Symbian software since I've had my Nokia N82.

Yeah, but didn't the Jet have a bigger screen and looks more bulky? The Omnia HD fits nicely in the hand and the screen is absolutely amazing. I like watching movies/shows on it. But in direct sunlight it's very difficult to look on it. I guess that's on all phones nowadays. I really advice you to try it out in the store before you buy it. It has to fit your personality too of course. :)
