The tiger had a good gun and armor, but it was slow, very wide, expenisve to produce and was underpowered. The T34 85 (85 representing the size of the gun 85mm), which is the T34 in question was fast, had a good gun, had good armor and was the first tank of the war to impliment sloped armor. In a way the first ever modern battle tank. It was the main influence on the design of the Panther tank, but the early panthers suffered from engine problems --Contiues in new comment--

and like most other German tanks were expensive and complicated to build. Although the Panther was more high tec and had a higher velocity gun than the t34 and tiger it was just too slow to produce to be a war winner, unlike the T34-85, which is why 9/10 historians would agree that the T34-85 was infact the best tank of the 2nd world war. But of course.. you'd know that. ;)

yes in the front and sides but the germans made a flaw in making it weak in the rear so a stuart light tank can get round the back and pump a few shells into the rear.
