The hardest working band in the country! people never tire of Frankie and Maze. Still in demand after all these years. They make it hard to resist reaching back
When I die I want them to play this for me........ My whole life has been rough, extremely depressing, and filled with struggle. I'll probably die this way, so at least on my way out I can share one happy feeling with everyone who knew me. - Joe Vertigo
Today Dad would have been 64. He passed away just over a month ago. I used to listed to all of these albums with him in the backyard as a kid. I would try and be grown and kick it with him and his friends (and then try to get up for school the next day...lol)... This was our song. Love and miss you Dad. I wish you happy feelings.
i have so many memories frm this song...i have had the pleasure of seeing them in concert in nyc several years ago and i tell you they can put on a show they blew me away
Your right , this is one song that gets down deep in your soul and makes you groove to it , this is real music that is rare that you dont have in todays music.
I will have an opportunity to see them this weekend, can't wait have never seen them live. This is my fave song followed by I can't get over you, then Golden time of day, and so on you get the picture....thanks for letting me listen, it's getting me in the mood Lady L.
I love Frankie Beverly & Maze. They never really got their just due. This group has stood the test of time and they can perform like no other band. Happy Feelins yall!
whenever I hear this song on the radio, it lifts my spirits. It makes my feel that I am loved when I don't feel loved at times. The words are so beautiful. They remind me to always love myself no matter what anyone says. This can never be remade!
i wish Artist would go back to music like this because this new age stuff is out of hand.... dont think im some old guy saying this either, im only 20 and i cant stand what our generation calls music.... as a musician it absolutely sickens me. *bleh!* lol LOVE THIS SONG! and the slides are on point!
this should have been the theme music as I looked out across the D.C.mall, as millions celebrated in peace and harmony the ingauration Of President Obama!
A wonderful twist of fate resulted in Frankie & I becoming friends in 1973...We're still in contact and I try to get to some of his shows here in the midwest. I have a standing invitation. The world needs all the "Frankie Beverlys" we can get...those who inspire and heal...
Many people may try to do a recording over in their own rendition of the song. And they may do a pretty decent job. But this is one of those songs, that will never be done better and with such a soulful feeling. You can hear and feel how much all the members put their very best into this song.
Its like trying to do over Smokey, The Isley Brothers Luther Vandross or Boys Two Men. Some songs just can't be touched and this one of those songs.
this song plays over and over thru out about 30 or more years of my life and there is not no other like it, expecially with this video, i love this song, they are the greatest in my life :)
Man...... if I'm in a bad mood this is what gets me calm... or if i'm in a good mood this kind of music just makes me that much more happier... I'm nothing but 26 but this is what my mom and old man use to play at da crib.... One thing fa sure... They don't make music like this anymore!!
'While I'm alone' is my favorite song by Maze too!! I'm planning my wedding songs right now (got the wedding venue etc. sorted) but that song doesn't fit the occasion so I'll have my second dance to 'Happy Feelin'.
Wow. The song is powerful enough...I have been a Maze fan since "While I'm Alone" came out in 1977 when I lived in Philly. One of my all time favorite groups. But the video was superb. It is the vision I have in mind when I think of "Golden Time of Day" by Maze, one of my all time favorites. Thanks for the video, very nice.
Hey Mister, I alway's thought While I'm Alone was their greatest ever. First LP, did the whole album except 1 tune live in New Awlin's back in 77. Perfect show. We loved them all since then.
"While I'm Alone" is my number 1 song by Maze. Did you know that Frankie Beverly did that song first with another group? Group was called Raw Soul and he did it with them first. '76 I think. Saw Maze at the Budweiser Superfest in 1982 in New Orleans....great show.
i was a little girl when i first started listening to frankie beverly and maze and im still hooked i always had a old soul and i still love this music now and im only 20
Guess what??? I am another one who is an old soul myself! I am 27 years old, and I grew up on Maze and Frankie Beverly and their music touches me deeper than the music today. So I feel you, both philipanne08 and britlovingit06!
Im so blessed to have the parents I have i grew up on these smooth and soothing sounds, all about love never about killing like now in the 2000s what a difference music is now from then well i still have my happy feelings
This takes me back to being a kid and my mom would throw friday night parties..her and my godmom would sing maze, earth wind & fire, bloodstone, the isleys, barry, teddy p, and all the greats. im 22, but i know real music...these groups and singers were the BEST.
back in my weed smoking days. this song was so comforting to the mind, body and soul. We dont have this sound anymore. Everything is about violence, getting money, and fucking bitches. You young cats got a lot to learn, I guarantee you can learn a lot thru this era of music.
I first heard this song in June 1977 on FM 96.3 WHUR in Washington, D.C. & I fell in love with the silky smooth sound of Frankie
Beverely & Maze. I'll always be reminded of those smooth summer nites I spent in West

Happy Feelings spread them all over the world... I'm a DC native and have always embraced the sounds of Frankie Beverly & Maze. Their music is legendary - ageless & timeless.
This song defines soul and togetherness!! Key aspects are brothers and sisters of the world are forgetting day to day!! We need real music like this to promote such a beautiful awareness!
Tight graphics Silk...listened to Frank and Maze when I was 5, now I'm almost 34 and my ears are still on Maze and this song in particular my mother used to put me to sleep with this song when I was 5.
