is that santa a man in a costume as oppose to the show buying a real mechanical santa for that part of the show? i wonder which was cheaper? hire an actor to act like a mechanical santa or buy a real mechanical santa? the way the santa leans then moves from then on doesnt look quite so mechanical. its too fast and all over the place instead of hitting the same speed each time and in the same place on richie each time.

amazing how Richie feels sad because Fonz was spending Christmas alone. I've been with Family at Christmas and I've been alone for Christmas and being alone for Christmas is no big deal I was fine with it. I've never been one for partys or get togethers ect.

there seems to be a lack of sentimentality for Christmas, or at least on sitcoms, I mean this episode had heart, and maybe cuz I am older I just feel like its a time lost.. I am in my late forties but I remember this one the best, where Fonz sits in his garage after telling Mr C he had to catch a bus. Perfect!

ah yes the flash back episode.. the 2nd time they showed Fonz's first christmas with Richie and his family.

I remember the very first time I saw the Christimas episode..It was and still is a very touching episode..and I love it.......but at the time I first saw it I thought Richie needs to learn to mind his own bussiness.

@the7thchambers Actually it was, the Santa is a real person not a machine. If you reply that part a few times, you can see the hand moves slightly away to throw the bag and you can see his hand let go of the bag too.

THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS. IT'S WHEN TV WAS A JOY TO WATCH! what happened to us folks? there was a time when TV had a fall schedule and there was a time that each night of the week had their own line up and you knew Tuesday night at 8:00pm was Happy Days and the next day at school you talked about what the Fonz did and you acted it out with your friends, etc etc. Now what do we have? I know times change but Christ it seems things have gotten worse. Am I wrong people?
