  • Can the tire have air??

    or not!?

  • Oklahoma style... hahahahahaha...

  • when you fast forward the video it sounds like a space ship or some shit

  • what kind of grinding disk is that & where did you buy it?

  • @the1onlyteagro It's a Norton disk, any body shop supply store or metal supply store should have them or be able to get them.

  • @JeffTanko cool thanks...I'm going to be trying this on some tires I have sitting around I got a few old used tires I can practice on

  • Just go on ebay and buy some white wall paint. $ 20. Works fine, not fine, awesome!

  • can you do that with bmx tires too?

  • @Jaimzz666 It works an any tire that has white rubber on it. BMX tires are very thin however, so you would need to be VERY careful when you're grinding them so you don't take to much rubber off

  • Awesome video! thanks for posting!

  • When it comes to tires I don't F around. I spent $1000 on tires for my 38 Cad V16. I wouldn't dare try this with car that I have put so much time and money into.

  • very cool vid !!

  • this method doesnt compromise the integrity of the tire? i want some fatty whitewalls for y 67 bug but cant find any as i have low pros. could i do this and seal the wall somehow so i dont get the yellowing that was refered to earlier?

  • Been doing this for years! I used to love taking 50 series white letter tires and making whitewalls out of them Gets tons of looks. To avoid the wavy lines on the outside edge I use the lines in the tires or draw a reference line. It also makes it a LOT easier to grind if the tire is mounted and inflated... Cool stuff.

  • A good lowrider shop will grind your whitewalls on an actual machine designed to buff tires for 40 or 50 bucks. This rarely comes out clean looking doing it by hand. Plus, any ground whitewall no matter how its done eventually turns yellow and stains easily. More work than its worth. If I did a set of these for a customer shop time would be 300 to 400 bucks hahahaha. Well done vid though

  • trusty.....haha

  • i want to try this but can i really roll around on the streets and freeways with these tires?? i mean they're not goin to blow up on me??

  • I've got nearly 10,000 miles on the tires you see in the video. As long as you don't take to much rubber off and your tires are in otherwise good condition, you shouldn't have any problems.

  • It,s a bit too much work for me. But that is cool. P.S. Whoever said a whitewall is 130 bucks is crazy. A plain 3" set w/o shipping is $800....easy.

  • A nearly new tire from most salvage yards is $10-$15. The average new tire is $50, a new wide WW tire starts at $130. $50 a set is a conciderable savings over $500 a set.

  • I dont know where you guys are buying your tires but I can get Denmans for 80 bucks a tire.

  • a tire cost 100 bucks right? where is the value?

  • Ya oughta wear a dust mask... unless you want to rubberize the inside of your lungs.

  • I like to draw a line all the way around with a white paint pen first.
