About the homosexuality bit in this passage, one could ask, is it saying that every homosexual individual is so because they unnaturally chose to be attracted to their own gender? Such an interpretation, if taken literally, I don't think would square up with reality. But I think it can still be said that homosexuality is against the natural order of how God created things, and giving in to homosexual lusts is a choice. But Jesus Christ can indeed deliver from homosexual lusts (Rom. 8:2).

if one is living in sin thinking that they are saved knowing jesus turns back into sin its two things either they never truly got saved or they did but they just need to get right with him and repent i was told this cause im worried about it i really dont know if i ever got truly saved, i never picked up my cross i dont even know what that means, i have read parts of the bible, i accepted jesus but ever since not have not been 100% free of sin so i never got saved so could not have gone to far

i believe that the only way one can go to far to the point of no return is when one that is truly saved, taking up there cross, walking with jesus, deliberatey curses his spirit, and turns away, he that curses his god shall bare his sin, or if you have harden your heart so hard torwed him, if a backslider still has the deisre to repent then there heart is not too hard and god will take them back.
@1986Lonelyguy Yup, God will take anyone back who is WILLING to repent, but there does come a time when one can be warned and warned over time and grace will fall away. Im a witness of this, GOD told me that If i didnt submit to him, right then, that he would turn his face from me... he said he was telling me what NOT to do, not forcing me to do anything but if i remained in my sin, then i was going to surely die in my sins. I turned to him that day and repented.

@GODLOVETRUTH How wrong you are. I was depressed about my brother who is terminally ill. I hid in a game called World of Warcraft. This game is highly addictive. It steals your time. It is full of demonic imagery. God pulled me out of it instantly and other things when I was born again. He has given me my life back and although my brother is still ill, He has given my brother back to me for a while. I owe everything to God. Do not underestimate the deceiver. I'm not going back to all of that.

There are a couple of NT age books that weren't canonized but that confirm your teaching. In the Shepherd of Hermas we are clearly told that christians can sear the Holy Spirit. It tells us that the Holy Spirit will not and cannot remain in a place where darkness (sin) resides. This goes against the false teaching of OSAS and eternal salvation.
The Didache confirms this by telling us there will be sheep who turn into wolves. Meaning christians will turn into children of satan.

Jackie: Your opening comment brought a verse to me. As a word of exhortation, Psalm 73 is a great reading for those afflicted with trials & hardships today. We look at the prosperity of the wicked, and we become jealous or “why not me?” It does seem unfair, but in the end, all will perish and only those who endure sound doctrine will inherit GOD’s kingdom. The riches we build up are in heaven, not worldly things. I've never seen a hearse pulling a U-haul trailer; we can’t take "stuff" with us.

@dolphinsdaryl there are many professing christians who believe they're saved when truly.. they are not. the evidence that someone is saved is by the power of the holy spirit in which they've been completely regenirated and made new beings and the continuing work of the holy spirit in their life in which their lives and manner of living has changed. When someone is born again... they have been saved, are being saved and will be saved if they stay in the race.

@WillieHuddTheGreat GOD does not change and his commandments don't change.GOD himself came as JESUS and took our punishment. No one else in other religions did that. I know from my own personal experience that I could not be good on my own as much as i wanted to be. When I accepted him as my LORD and SAVIOR the way i thought and looked at things totally instantly changed. I still fail sometimes but I repent and GOD picks me up and forgives me and sets me back on course. I love GOD!
Because of Adam and Eve we have a sin nature we can't overcome. GOD is not like a human judge who can be lenient one day and not the next depending on his mood. About the homosexuality bit in this passage, one could ask, is it saying that every homosexual individual is so because they unnaturally chose to be attracted to their own gender? Such an interpretation, if taken literally, I don't think would square up with reality. But I think it can still be said that homosexuality is against the natural order of how God created things, and giving in to homosexual lusts is a choice. But Jesus Christ can indeed deliver from homosexual lusts (Rom. 8:2).

if one is living in sin thinking that they are saved knowing jesus turns back into sin its two things either they never truly got saved or they did but they just need to get right with him and repent i was told this cause im worried about it i really dont know if i ever got truly saved, i never picked up my cross i dont even know what that means, i have read parts of the bible, i accepted jesus but ever since not have not been 100% free of sin so i never got saved so could not have gone to far

i believe that the only way one can go to far to the point of no return is when one that is truly saved, taking up there cross, walking with jesus, deliberatey curses his spirit, and turns away, he that curses his god shall bare his sin, or if you have harden your heart so hard torwed him, if a backslider still has the deisre to repent then there heart is not too hard and god will take them back.

@1986Lonelyguy Yup, God will take anyone back who is WILLING to repent, but there does come a time when one can be warned and warned over time and grace will fall away. Im a witness of this, GOD told me that If i didnt submit to him, right then, that he would turn his face from me... he said he was telling me what NOT to do, not forcing me to do anything but if i remained in my sin, then i was going to surely die in my sins. I turned to him that day and repented.

It is full of demonic imagery. God pulled me out of it instantly and other things when I was born again. He has given me my life back and although my brother is still ill, He has given my brother back to me for a while. I owe everything to God. Do not underestimate the deceiver. I'm not going back to all of that.

There are a couple of NT age books that weren't canonized but that confirm your teaching. In the Shepherd of Hermas we are clearly told that christians can sear the Holy Spirit. It tells us that the Holy Spirit will not and cannot remain in a place where darkness (sin) resides. This goes against the false teaching of OSAS and eternal salvation.
The Didache confirms this by telling us there will be sheep who turn into wolves. Meaning christians will turn into children of satan.

Jackie: Your opening comment brought a verse to me. As a word of exhortation, Psalm 73 is a great reading for those afflicted with trials & hardships today. We look at the prosperity of the wicked, and we become jealous or “why not me?” It does seem unfair, but in the end, all will perish and only those who endure sound doctrine will inherit GOD’s kingdom. The riches we build up are in heaven, not worldly things. I've never seen a hearse pulling a U-haul trailer; we can’t take "stuff" with us.

He says that He (Jesus) is the Truth, the way and the Life and no man comes to the Father but through Him. God became a man and died for your sins (because they are grave and many) - Jesus Christ makes it simple, just believe and you will be saved, while ALL other religions you must work for your place in the kingdom of heaven.

If you simply believe in your heart that Jesus died for your sins and is the only way by which you can be saved than GOD will do a work on that person and continue to save that person. @dolphinsdaryl there are many professing christians who believe they're saved when truly.. they are not. the evidence that someone is saved is by the power of the holy spirit in which they've been completely regenirated and made new beings and the continuing work of the holy spirit in their life in which their lives and manner of living has changed. When someone is born again... they have been saved, are being saved and will be saved if they stay in the race.

I know from my own personal experience that I could not be good on my own as much as i wanted to be. When I accepted him as my LORD and SAVIOR the way i thought and looked at things totally instantly changed. I still fail sometimes but I repent and GOD picks me up and forgives me and sets me back on course. I love GOD!

Because of Adam and Eve we have a sin nature we can't overcome. GOD is not like a human judge who can be lenient one day and not the next depending on his mood. JESUS came in human form to take our punishment. If we belief in him as our savior and repent and turn from our sin, GOD comes to dwell in us and change our heart so we no longer have the desire to sin and pleasing him becomes our joy. We send ourselves to hell by refusing the gift of eternal life and the free gift of salvation in JESUS

We follow Him daily and strive to follow His teachings. Sometimes we "miss the mark" (sin) but..."there is no condemnation for those who are in Messiah Yahushua." We will always fail, like Paul wrote, our spirit is willing but our flesh is weak, even Paul said he did things that he didn't want to do. Jacki, we can rest in that peace that we don't have to try to conquer the desires of our flesh... if your trying to do it in your own might. If you remain in Christ who destroyed the works of the law then you will overcome.
