I got to ride with him in ona car ride to and from a bluegrass festival in Wisconsin last summer. It was a true honor to meet him. He is amazingly funny and says things that you would never expect an old guy to say. Wow, me and my friend were lucky to have such an experience
Tom Paley, you the man! Good to see that you're still picking and singing, man! The NLCRs were neer the same after you left. Recently heard your "Jordan Is a Hard Road to Travel" on the Friends of Old Time Music three-CD set. Fantastic! Even better than I remembered it. Old Time Music will never die! Love you, Mike Goodwin

I listened to WMNF 88.5 radio in Tampa online - on demand Florida Folk Show, Thursday morning and they talked about Tom Paley
He's an original founder of the New Lost City Ramblers. He gave guitar lessons to Jerry Garcia. He was in a duo w/Woody Guthrie. He's pushing 80
This guy is a folk icon
Thanks for posting
