i've been looking for an instructional vid on how to make a stone knife for 6 months now. post another showing how to make a stone knife from beginning to end starting from a big chunk of rock to usable knife, and i'll deffinately subscribe. :)
When I get a good day, Ill video how I do it! Appreciate you watching, I dont know the proper way but mine works well, I think I spend more time than most but when Im done it shows! Steve
Cow bone on the larger handles. Lots of sanding with a 1500 wet dry to finish it. Its slick as snot! You can darken the cracks with stain but dont overdo it just wipe it back off. Old bones have interior cracks and that large knife was a killer! Thanks Steve
That was the Black Dovetail, I placed it on the white bone and it was smoking! I think that was dacite but the Black Butter may be fixing to be knapped out. I PROMISE to make a daylight Black butter video!!! LOL Thanks
Appreciate the comments, I had orders to fill and I had inventory better make a vid of them. Email me back on singapore. I made 5 this weekend, don't want to see one for a few weeks!
Thanks, Im learning more as I go. I like Unique stuff and one of a kind works. when I made turkey calls I would have so much time in them I wouldnt make a cent over materials, LOL Oh well I like making stuff!
Beautiful work!
