Chie is a tomboy, this means she has boy-ish characteristics and a deeper, older sounding voice is one of them. She's still cute and both Yuki and Naoto sound older than her anyways.

Problem is the voices seem to old. Yosuke saying nanako chan sound atlest 19-25. The girls a little better but still seems too old. I think giantbomb endurance play ruined the jap because I enjoyed their commentary on the english soo much more.

I don't like the Japanese voices as much as the English . . . Yosuke sounds too old and Chie's and Rise's are too high. There are a lot of good ones though. (this makes me wonder what Teddie's sounds like, though...)

@Escapulario100 Downloaded the game and opened the ISO and replaced all the Japanese voices and placed it into the english version of the game. Im guessing he is playing on emulator.

I love the english voices in P4, but I´m also interested in the Japanese ones!

I mean... its so normal on movie-dvds to choose whether you want to listen to the dub or the original voices from the actors.

I normally play all my Jrpgs in Japanese, but if there is a Persona 5 in the future on PS3 with voice options. - I think I would still choose the english track, because I don´t wanna miss a TOOTALOO ~

BTW.. in my opinion the best way to handle stuff like this would be to have both the English and the Japanese voices in the game so the player can switch between them as he/she likes ^^

i actually think they did a rather good job on the english voices :) especially if you think about how horrible it could have been.. compared to many other english dubs i think persona 4 kept a lot of its charm and humor which is cool when you think about the structural difference in english and japanese. i know i feel happy when i experience good dubbing :D good game all in all *thumbs up*

The dubbing in P4 was very good. However, it kinda makes me wish players had options of which track they wanted, like in some of Aksys' games (ironically enough, some of their games don't even have an English language track).

I think the japanese voices are really cool too, but you can´t say Chie`s English dubber is that bad, I mean Chie is the best character ever !! ^^ Every Cycle I play Persona 4, I like her more and more, and she is a has-to-be in battle `cause the battle song + Chie`s passional lines makes it great. The same with Kanji (japanese-english) =)

@Rairai51 Yeah. I realize that. My problem with Naoto's voice is that since it's quite feminine, when the truth is finally revealed, it loses meaning since you can guess it from a mile away. I love Naoto's voice, but if it was as androgynous as her Japanese voice it would've had more impact, I think.

I think most of the English cast is brilliant and Rise's English voice is a huge improvement over her original voice. Of course, as many people've mentioned, Naoto sounds too much like a girl and I'm not that big of a fan of Chie's voice, but just about everyone else was spot-on. I hope this high-quality voice dubbing can continue on in Persona 5.

Persona 4 made me remember how cool P3 was. After finishing P4 second time i got bored of P4 and played P3 again like 5 times already xD

P3 just have so much more story and events going. There is just so many ways to play it and P4 lacks many features of P3. But i consider all persona games a masterpiece! well maybe P1 was not so much since i can only ignored graphics for as much as p2 for its great gameplay.

@DigitalWebOwner I find P3 more boring than P4, since it consists so much of kicking monsters asses while leaving the story somewhat behind. In P4 you have a great mystery with plot twists, thought provoking story and happenings, and awesome characters so that it really gets me going for hours and hours.

Btw, what do you mean by P4 lacking many features of P3? Isn't it the other way around? But still, Persona 3 is a great game :) And so is P2, but I just haven't played it that much.

Also if you say p4 introduced custom dungeons compared to tartarus then remember that p3 shadow bosses have their custom dungeons. What p4 did it reduced itself as RPG game and went more dating/adventure way.

But hey c'mon. In Persona 4 you can command all of your chars and that already gives many different ways of battling enemies compared to p3.

In p4 you can get unique weapons also through fishing, and you have 2 more upgradable stats. Social links also vary more, since u can get them from jobs. I wont comment their stories since its a personal opinion.

@habadous Yes Monad was unlockable dungeon. Fishing was more hated than loved in P4 whoever i ask. You get 2 more stats but lose 2 affinities in combat and in P3 other player actions were limited to commands on purpose. making it fully controlable on you is not a function since it was so since persona 1. I dont hate P4 nor it's a bad game. I just dont want to see whole persona series to lose what it was for years by turning Hollywood style. Try Persona 2, then 3.

JP voice actors in Persona 4 were alright (Chie I think is better in Japanese), but I heavily prefer the English voice acting for Yosuke and Adachi (not featured here). Nanako is still really cute, and Yukiko still sounds like she should. :P

rofl, yeah the voice for that character cracks a lot for some reason. but i liked the voice acting honestly. i usually prefer japanese, but atlus is good at getting good voice actors for their roles in their more important games. and hey, they didnt do what a lot of other game developers do, pick unknown people. Yuri Lowenthal who does a lot of voice acting for anime and games (ex: Sasuke from Naruto, Ryoji from P3) got the part for Yosuke. so it wasn't that bad.
