Thanks for gettting the episode and air date righit!! I don't know why I see so many of these short clips posted and nobody takes the time to get the info right. There were very few gunfight scenes in the many Dragnet shows that aired over the years. Gun play was at a minimum. Not like today, where it's rare not to have shootouts in practically every police TV drama. I guess it's whats expected, to have officers waving their guns around, but it didn't happen often on Dragnet. This scene is a rariety. That's what makes it so good.
