Dogs love to run in the yard, it is not their fault it was struck by a car. As for complaining about releasing the calf to pasture. What is your solution? Dogs and cats can get all of the nutrients they need from a vegan diet and no one has to die for it, I see no problem with this. And this argument about "unnatural" and "natural" is tiresome, natural does not mean right and unnatural does not mean wrong. It's just so stupid, and it becomes more stupid if one has studied the facts of evolution. Imagine if no animal did anything unnatural/unusual, life would not evolve or exist as we know it.
@ZoldierrZzz Now, I don't believe in evolution but I will go along with its theory for the sake of the argument- Evolution is defined as the accumulation of genetic changes over time. Forcing a carnivore to not eat meat is not evolution. It has nothing to do with the process of evolution. No genes are being changed, no natural selection is taking place. Natural IS right in this situation, as depriving an animal of what it is designed (or evolved, as you'd say) to eat is cruel.

Look, if we stop making a profit, they're going to suffer. Animals have formed a symbiotic relationship with humans. They live a life being fed and provided shelter. We profit from them and consume them. If we were just to set these animals free to the wild, they'd suffer. We give them quick painless deaths. Wolves will not. In the wild, they'll be eaten while they're still alive. How's that for cruel?

@missdogirl When you say farms are horrible places for animals you are overgeneralizing. Not all farms treat their animals poorly. Not all farm animals live unnatural, unhappy lives.
And yes there definitely IS a difference between eating a natural prey species and eating a natural predator species. It has to do with reproductive ratios.
I'm not saying people should eat MUCH meat, but eating some is neither immoral nor unhealthy. (Although I understand you have a different opinion.)
@Crunchy68 I know there are biological farms in which animals life happy lives, but the meat people buy in supermarket are from unhappy farms, biological meat is more expensive and alot of people don't have the trouble to buy it. Thank you for being polite, most people on youtube are really rude, but if we have a replacement of meat without the grease and bad parts of the meat, isn't that healthier? If eating meat in moderation is healthy, then drinking alcohol in moderation is healthy to no?
@missdogirl I have to agree that basically all supermarket meat is probably raised or slaughtered cruelly. I'd like to say everyone should eat only home-farmed meat, but I know many families can't afford that. I see it as an ideal to work towards, but not a shame for those not there yet.
Surely you know that eating meat and drinking alcohol do not equate, as alcohol has basically no nutritional value. But even so yes, I think that in moderation drinking is acceptable.

Fundamentally I disagree with you on the morality issue, so getting sidetracked into details of your argument won't really help. What I see is that you view all life as sacred, so killing is always cruel and wrong. I see all life as natural, even humans, so do not grieve in the same sense when it ends. To me death is not an "injustice".

Don't belive it, search about it and read books about it too.
Clearly you have not been to a proper farm. Veil is kept 'soft,' most other meat isn't (and I oppose veil). Animals aren't fed growth hormones (that may occur on a small scale, but it's been blown up, it's mostly a myth) A farm would be problematic if they let animals walk around in feces (it's unhealthy, and that means less money). Educate yourself on how farms actually work. Most don't work that way.

Dogs are rich in proteins,B12 vitamin, iron,sensibility and will to life.we don't need to eat dogs,cows or other animals.
It is okay to eat dogs and cat and dolphins, when done in a manner where animal welfare is good. Not that I would eat that meat. I view dogs and cats as pets; other cultures don't, but I won't judge.
I have seen many, however as a student in my first semester working toward a bachelor of science in Agriculture, my eyes have honestly been opened. Those videos are selective, and only show the bad farms. Most farms don't function that way. I love animals, but I still eat meat.
Killing animals makes not a bad person. Mistreating the animals, making their lives painful, and making their death painful is what makes a person bad. Also, judging people is the #1 ticket to hell (which isn't all that hot, BTW)

very sweet...relieved to find out the little calf is a pet...I had a kitten that was abandoned in a garbage dump at a very early age...she used to suck on my sons ears like the calf is suckling the dog...very cute and innocent..:-)

Female (clearly the calf is male) and B. That she has given birth to her 2nd calf. Your calf is either a steer or a bull calf. And as your title says 'cow'. A female bovine is called a heifer prior to giving birth to her 1st calf. After which she is called a springing heifer until calf # 2 is born.

My mother's cardiologist had a class to educate his heart patients. He said humans were never supposed to eat meat and that's why they have high cholesterol. He said you would never see a dog with high cholesterol. He said put a toddler in a play pen with an apple and a bunny and see which one he eats. The apple of course because humans are not carnivores.
@rosestar2100 your mother's cardiologist needs to take a class to educate himself. Dogs can get high cholesterol. It's rare but it does happen and is more common in certain breeds. I'm a veterinary technician and yes I have my bachelors degree.

You spent so much time to get that cow to live. It's a shame she had to be sent away. A seperate pen for her might have been a possiblity or just continue to clean up the cow poop. The same thing happened to my little rooster I raised from an egg when I was a little child. I petted him and loved him and when he was grown my parents gave him to a man with a chicken yard and the other roosters killed him. The dog (Lola) I've rescued eats a *balanced* vegan diet and the vets always get impressed with the beauty of her coat (soft and very shiny) – not to mention her perfect blood tests. Of course, if you give a dog an unbalanced diet (with or without meat) her/his health will suffer. Search for the Vegan Dog Nutrition Association for more info.
if you think just rice is a good food you are just plain stupid. Try top feed yourself on only rice..no wonder that you or the dog would get sick because it is malnutrition. Try to learn something about nutrition or you will also make your dog sick with only meat because also wolves do not only eat meat, the need cartilage, intestines, the partly digested food in the bowels of a cow and so on.

Aw, poor little Baby Obama. She was refused by everyone but you. Good job at doing the best you could to give Baby a good life. Sad that the other cows wouldn't accept her as one of them. PLease watch Earthlings or any of the footage videos, there is no such thing as free range, also male chicks are (thrown into blenders/grinders) as they are unwanted, calves are killed from the artificial insemination of dairy (yes even 'organic' farms have practices like drowning the babies in buckets of water)

Dogs are what you put into them breeding training and socialization.
Instinct is a( part) but humans have instincts as well trust me I've dealt with some real winners.
We are supposed to be the responsible party with any animals.

@ZoldierrZzz Now, I don't believe in evolution but I will go along with its theory for the sake of the argument- Evolution is defined as the accumulation of genetic changes over time. Forcing a carnivore to not eat meat is not evolution. It has nothing to do with the process of evolution. No genes are being changed, no natural selection is taking place. Natural IS right in this situation, as depriving an animal of what it is designed (or evolved, as you'd say) to eat is cruel.

@missdogirl When you say farms are horrible places for animals you are overgeneralizing. Not all farms treat their animals poorly. Not all farm animals live unnatural, unhappy lives.
And yes there definitely IS a difference between eating a natural prey species and eating a natural predator species. It has to do with reproductive ratios.
I'm not saying people should eat MUCH meat, but eating some is neither immoral nor unhealthy. (Although I understand you have a different opinion.)

@missdogirl I have to agree that basically all supermarket meat is probably raised or slaughtered cruelly. I'd like to say everyone should eat only home-farmed meat, but I know many families can't afford that. I see it as an ideal to work towards, but not a shame for those not there yet.
Surely you know that eating meat and drinking alcohol do not equate, as alcohol has basically no nutritional value. But even so yes, I think that in moderation drinking is acceptable.

Clearly you have not been to a proper farm. Veil is kept 'soft,' most other meat isn't (and I oppose veil). Animals aren't fed growth hormones (that may occur on a small scale, but it's been blown up, it's mostly a myth) A farm would be problematic if they let animals walk around in feces (it's unhealthy, and that means less money). Educate yourself on how farms actually work. Most don't work that way.

Female (clearly the calf is male) and B. That she has given birth to her 2nd calf. Your calf is either a steer or a bull calf. And as your title says 'cow'. A female bovine is called a heifer prior to giving birth to her 1st calf. After which she is called a springing heifer until calf # 2 is born.

My mother's cardiologist had a class to educate his heart patients. He said humans were never supposed to eat meat and that's why they have high cholesterol. He said you would never see a dog with high cholesterol. He said put a toddler in a play pen with an apple and a bunny and see which one he eats. The apple of course because humans are not carnivores.

The same thing happened to my little rooster I raised from an egg when I was a little child. I petted him and loved him and when he was grown my parents gave him to a man with a chicken yard and the other roosters killed him. That was a stupid and selfish thing they did and I have never forgotten that. I loved that rooster and he thought he was a human. He would come up on the porch and get into my lap. I feel sorry for the calf/cow and for all creatures.

@odedhachamud thats bull shit. humans have been eating meat for milloins of years. dogs dont need meat to survive but if there diet is just veggies there get sick more and are not healthy. i fed my dog rice for a week and she shit her brains out cause she cant digest it. she eats just raw meats now and her coat is softer she jack out of her mind and shes never had to go to the vet for anything but a check up. cant you peopel just take about this stuff some where else. its not healthy to be vega

@fullofmuscledownunde Sorry, but you're wrong. The dog (Lola) I've rescued eats a *balanced* vegan diet and the vets always get impressed with the beauty of her coat (soft and very shiny) – not to mention her perfect blood tests. Of course, if you give a dog an unbalanced diet (with or without meat) her/his health will suffer. Search for the Vegan Dog Nutrition Association for more info.

if you think just rice is a good food you are just plain stupid. Try top feed yourself on only rice..no wonder that you or the dog would get sick because it is malnutrition. Try to learn something about nutrition or you will also make your dog sick with only meat because also wolves do not only eat meat, the need cartilage, intestines, the partly digested food in the bowels of a cow and so on.
Only meat will kill off the dog too, they miss many minerals& vitamins

Aw, poor little Baby Obama. She was refused by everyone but you. Good job at doing the best you could to give Baby a good life. Sad that the other cows wouldn't accept her as one of them. It may have been because she didn't smell like them, maybe if she had been introduced slowly, but that takes a lot of time and effort and doesn't always work. Kudos for the great job!

@NativeLoveWhiteDove Actually our teeth are more similar to sheep than to predators, and our hands are not claws, our speed is not fast. I find this very annoying. PLease watch Earthlings or any of the footage videos, there is no such thing as free range, also male chicks are (thrown into blenders/grinders) as they are unwanted, calves are killed from the artificial insemination of dairy (yes even 'organic' farms have practices like drowning the babies in buckets of water)

Eating meat is gross and no healthy. Meat eaters love to defend it but sadly are just contributing to the cruelty. If an animal is intelligent or not it doesn't mean they don't suffer or feel pain. Have some empathy.

Not raw meat but if the meat if cooked its healthy, I am not saying that killing animals is right but we humans do need to "kill" to live ( although,we can make potatoes, and other vegetables.) But how do you think animals survive? by killing others. This is just the cycle of life. If there is a problem (extinction) with the sort of animal, we will have to stop so the animal wont exctinc.
