  • I would not be surprised if some of our LEFT wing nutjobs put up Soviet Flags at their houses. All this love for socialism/facism/marxism is makes me absolutely sick. Instead of Russia becoming a closed society with checkpoints, guardtowers etc it will probably be ours. I will fight against that! Let Russia have it....not the U.S.

  • MissleD: you are a real asshloe.

  • Modernisation on values and principles of democracy?? More like values and principles of a hidden authoratative govt. Unfortunately, it is happening here in the U.S. and we don't like it and will fight against it. As for Russia, you folks are used to it so you don't see it as clearly. 2 different ideologies.

  • You represent about 2% of our people.

The other 98% are too busy fucking around, looking what they can buy, obsessing with finding parties and getting drunk. So.. don't expect many people to be fighting.

  • Russia for Russians only !!!

Westerners and especialy Anglo-Americans OUT of our Russia !!!!

  • How do you know that the USA is encircling China and Russia? LoL!

  • Don't forget Britain in all of this, this is their policy, their politics which they have exported to the US and Israel.

  • This stupid crisis can be only to your benefit, think about it, the stupid americans are grinding their country to the ground. It is the time for Russia to take over all the important industries.

Also, my strong advise to Russia: Build hydrogen cars! Lada sounds perfect to many people, if it doesn't eat up money on gas.

Rebuild your agriculture, make many depend on you and on your production.

    Go Russia!!!

  • I agree. The reason of shitty producing in 1990-2000s was incredibly high refinancial percent by Central Bank (controlling by foreign bankers). It was like a block to any development. It was very risky to take credits for ~20%. That's why nothing developed. Now it is 9,5 and as Putin said on Sochi forum, we must reduce it at least to 6%. After that small business would allow to invest and to take money, producing all things people need. And don't import everything from outside.

  • *export*

  • shockolaus - Your dreaming, you need to listen to President Medvedev speech a bit closer. Russia has allot of hurdles to overcome and it's not going to happen overnight. Russia is so far behind when it comes to technology and modernazation. Almost all of Russias top scientist leave Russia they have no reason to stay. So you way off base.

  • If you read what I wrote, you will see that I was just giving free advice to Russian people, which it is. This crisis can be a good opportunity for smart people. How do you know that the top scientists leave Russia? Has it ever occurred to you that a top scientist can easily find work in Russia, perhaps faster than in US?

Example: Romanian kids designed an exosphere plane for passengers, they showed it to NASA at a Space-Contest, NASA said they can't produce it.

Russia took it and made PAK-DA

  • Recently a group of top Russian scientist working abroad wrote and open letter to president Medvedev explaining that they had to work abroad do to the lack of investment in science inside of Russia. Russia's technology sector is very sad compared to the west and China. I think the Russian president's speech was good medicine for the Russian people to hear and improve. Your economy is primative to the west and relies to heavily on oil & gas, you must diversify to survive in this market.

  • @murk2002: The usage of top scientists is discussable and besides, Eastern scientists have been working abroad for a very long time, even before the fall of the USSR, they used to flee the country and work in Western Europe or US. I know this because it is the case of Romanian scientists too.

You must take into account the fact that each country knows who it's best scientists are and most countries do their best (financially) to employ those scientists for their country's benefit.

  • shockolanu

are you full of shit or 3/4 full?

  • Well actually, I'm not even half full, I took a nice long crap this morning. When I was giving birth to that crap, I was thinking about it's resemblance with USA. US is a nice steaming pile of crap. Guess what it's inhabitants are? That's right: Microbes and bacteria.

So, if you live in US, take a look around you and you will see that you are not only full of crap but you are also living in one. Microbe!

  • Russians are not stupid people, they will thrive in this crisis simple because it is artificially made and they have no real involvement in it. They are not depending on exporting goods to US and if they import from US, it's good for them because they get commodities at good prices.

Further more, Russians would gladly produce hydrogen Lada cars at cheap prices, this will really help their auto-industry, while yours is sinking.

Agriculture should be nr1 in Russia and perhaps it will be.

  • I don't think Russia should try to produce cars to compete with Japan, Germany and the US in their wildest dreams, this would be a waste of time and money. Russia does have great scientist, but most of them live abraod. No one is going to buy a Russian car, it's just not going to happen. I think Russia's export market is not the US, but Europe and Asia.

  • thumbs up on this video. it was reported very clearly.

  • RT should upload all speech, because it has a lot of important points.

  • Putin is letting Medvedev speak and propose things as a front to what he(Putin) really wants to do. He knows that most Russians want a controlled society and he will continue to move toward it. Russia will continue to be a CONTROLLED democracy...if that. I respect Putin alot more than our President. At least Putin tells it like it is. Putin does NOT trust the United States.....as he shouldn't. Unfortunately, Pres Obama trusts to MUCH.

  • Can I rely on myself than on the state!

Should I by domestic made stuff to support our economy or buy Western crap?

  • @igorvasilevsky

Igor, every thought, every action every move must be motivated by the question:

How can I make Russia stronger and prosperous?

The big challenges of all times were not solved by babbling in parliaments but by the fanatical will of the masses and a ruthless leadership which transfered it into reality.

Every Russian needs to look at himself and say:

Can I do better in school or at the workplace?

Can I behave more responsibly by quit drinkng for example?

  • Spot on my friend! Brilliant comments and let me add by saying that Russia is a nation with deep culture and history but their future doesn't look too bright because: Dying population, average woman aborts 3 times, mistreatment of immigrants from caucuses, former republics and others, disregard of human rights and poor legal justice system. North America might have their problems but Russians can move there and assimilate and be treated with respect unlike if it is the other way around.

  • Words are one thing, action is another. Medvedev must put his words into action or it's just empty talk. As for the Cacusus some more democracy may be a better idea then ruthless force.

  • You should warry about Texas. Caucasus... you don't even know what are you talking about. Look at Dagestan region - there are over 100 nations and ethnoses with long history of balance between them. And now you talks - "they need more democracy". :-) Ask these people what they'll chose - better life level or democracy. What should they prefer first?

  • Don't forget that americans are "experts" in everything connected with Russia ;)

And ONLY americans have right to decide who deserves democracy and who doesn't ))

    Don't dissapoint them)

  • How about Chechnya and Ingushetia where bombings still occur despite the fact that Kadyrov declared the anti-terrorist operation over.

  • >How about Chechnya and Ingushetia where bombings still occur despite the fact that Kadyrov declared the anti-terrorist operation over.

How about Texas's will to be independent? These mad cowboys could be quite strong in fight, if they have reliable idea to believe. Think about YOUR home only, if none asked to help.

  • I have stated millions of times on this site, the seccession craze is only a vanity pet project boasted by a bunch of right-wing yahoos that have no popular support outside their small circles. As for telling me to stop criticizing Russia because I'm not Russian I don't see anything wrong with doing so since you guys keep berating America and none of you are even American.

  • Heh, no offence, but it means you doesn't know what etiquette is. This is non-cultural, rude behaviour - to put own nose in ever hole, in every case. I'll repeat, you could critisize, if only you have real intentions to help, to make something better. But you are living too far away, I doubt that you are REALLY interested in this. It seems as daily interest, today is one theme, tomorrow - another one. Just for time spending, but not for sincere judgement.

  • And how about to go to russiian Caucasus and to help to catch all terrorists, if you so much worried about vaynakhs? What you did PERSONALLY to help these people? May be you're sending a halph of your salary to them? No? Are you a rus. citizen? No? Then what the right you have to discuss something you don't understand and others asks you to stay aside? Who are you, God? May be God gave a personal right to you and to all citizens of "free world" to do everything they want? What the reason?

  • Reuters reports that Medvedev looks to shut up the opposition to preserve stability. Sounds like the desperate attempts to save the empire from freedom of thought and organized opposition. There is a struggling civil society in Russia that is begging to emerge, but they are being silenced by bullets. The audience gave Putin a standing ovation when he entered - what a cult of personality. Expect to see Putin as president again. Russian politics: more rhetoric = less change.

  • eldubioso made idiotic commentary. Another zombie.

  • I do not believe in your mythical voodoo magic. It has not power over me.

  • who cares about you?you are an american,i was speaking to the russians here!

  • your audience is deaf or they are not listening. I remind you of your insignificance.

  • >I do not believe in your mythical voodoo magic. It has not power over me.

My magic has ork nature, haha. Voodoo is too weak for Mordor. Death to elves! ;-)

  • Difficult to know what he said in 100 minutes with a journalist shredding it into 10.

  • @ZionistCensorship

your comment makes no sense. just like chernobyl :)

  • Thanks RT. Good report for us 'Mericans. I like Medvedev. Good to see the patriarch there and good that demographics increased even if by only 1000.

  • The saddest thing for you is that Russian leadership KNOW problems of Russia and KNOW how to resolve them.

In USA/UK nobody will publicly admit that economic model, which they have, have "crisises" as inevitable part of it. They will never admit their mistakes in Iraq, Afghanistan. They will NEVER admit that everything that they talked about other countries were propaganda lies.

They CAN'T admit it and don't want to accept much more huge problems they have.

    This is the difference.

  • @igorvasilevsky

no, we know what we are doing. we are taking all of the resources around the world and there is nothing you can do to stop us so go fuck yourself peasant. :)

  • wrong iran, venezela with ther gigantic oil reserves belongs to us russians

  • 1) Who are "we"? You are slave who are paying thousands of taxes and working for big bosses.

    2) This kind of situation is not endless. It's going to a world dictatorship, where you will have no rights.

    3) This is what anglo-saxons are all about - virus and parasites. Seems like you are proud to be an immoral busturd.

    4) 30% of all world resources are in Russia.

    5) You just again proves that US/UK trolls are egoists and have no soul. Cheers.

  • Oh, yeah, and one more thing.

"You" have money but you don't have moral values. Culture, moral and kindness is much more expensively than paper. That is why Russians are richer than "you".

  • Oh Igor would that were true about Russia. If she stuck to her Faith she would be the most prosperous, powerful nation on earth without question. But please RT reported increased abortions after financial crisis. Abortion is a cancer in a society and leads to a general disregard for the sanctity of life. Think of a strong Russia of 400 million today -- WOW that would be a powerful country.

  • And look at our own country kid. The only reason we have population growth is because of infinite monkey immigration from Mexico.

  • Mr Troglodyte,Dont you know that JFK took back missiles from Turkey and just thats how Khrush took back from Cuba.

    You brainwashed.

  • @Cossakfreedon Yes I am aware of that.

  • i already can hear the western media bullshitting about "medvedev and putin playing 'good cop, bad cop' ".
