  • The first track, starting so slowly, classically, beautifully. My favorite track next to the main theme.

  • another movie that springs to mind is THE KEEP. the soundtrack is awesome.

  • inferno has a class that other films do not have. After all these years it's still a pleasure to watch. music is excellent, Mater Tenebrarum is a classic!

  • I think the music in Inferno is equally great with the music for example in Suspiria. And there's many great scenes in Inferno, the underwater room scene and guillotine window scene among them.

  • bellissima eccezionale grande keith

  • the tone of inferno, and that first scene are character of a dreamy sense of fear so many horror directors have intentionally and unintentionally tried to reproduce or imitate. Argento's a genius. Way ahead of his time and even ahead of our time.

  • The beautiful sister holding the cat in music class. Hot!!!

  • Beautiful song!!!

  • HEY JOORUM! i've been listening to soundtracks of all these 80's horror on youtube and see you IN ALL THE POST.

I bet your just as cool as i am. Im from Louisiana> what about you?

  • @jys9544 Thanks! I'm from Finland. And horror's what I live for =)

  • ....."the second key is hidden in the seller"

  • @BADSYNE that is one of my favorite parts of the movie, and Rose swimming around in that room, once I saw that opening sequence I have never forgotten it. The whole opening with Rose actress Irene Miracle who I really wish would have done a lot more is my favorite opening to any horror movie ever.

  • This film is going to be released on dvd in the uk this year by Arrowfilms(2010).

  • I have just seen all of Inferno and I enjoyed it. I liked it just as mutch as Suspiria. They were both very colorful.

  • The music compliments the surreal atmosphere of "Inferno". Emerson's score is half Pino Donaggio, half Jerry Goldsmith and half bernard herrmann. Loved it!

  • i'm a big fun of dario argento but this music i heared in carrie (1978) too!

  • you're a big fun,looooooool~!:)))

  • Great music from great movie. I would recommend you old horror - fairy tale Beaty and the Beast from 1976 directed by Juraj Herz. The score is also superb, quite similar to Keith Emerson work. The complete movie with subtitles is now on youtube

  • man, that music inferno is awesome,it gives me chills every time a hear

  • not to brag but i told joorum to upload this soundtrack, yay, i love this movie, ever since i got it, the blue underground release, that is, lol!

  • Oh my god! Keith emerson did a soundtrack to a giallo!

  • Indeed he did. His music was widely admired by the likes of Goblin and Argento so they naturally wanted to work together someday.

Emerson also worked on another Italian film called The Church.

  • Inferno is a giallo ? so wouldn't that kinda make Suspiria, Zombie, and Fulci's 'Black Cat' giallos too ? i dunno, these classifications of italian horror films confuse me sometimes

  • No it's not a giallo but you could use it as a universal term for Italian horror/thriller movies. I would call Inferno just a fantasy movie.

  • Hi,Joorum!!

    1st.: I send you greetings from Monterrey,MEXICO.

2nd: I want to appreciate you so much, having uploaded the O.S.T. for this film.

This it has been one of my favorite horror films, and had the opportunity to watch it in the movies by 1981.

The O.S.T. is great, and it wraps you like in a spooky atmosFEAR every time you listen to it,and the most,if you are in a very dark room and there are some cats fighting on the roof of your house.

  • Thanks, kalispera64! I also like Inferno a lot!

  • That's great,Joorum!!

I recommend you to look for an old terror film in YouTube, that's called ''BOBBY''

It´s from 1975,and this it comes from ''Trilogy of Terror''.

Few weeks ago I watched a new version filmed barely in 1996,but the original film from 1975 has been uploaded on YouTube.

    It really frightened me!!

I also recommend you to look for ''AMELLIA'',from ''Trilogy of Terror'',too.

    It is also from 1975.

Greetings again to FINLAND from MEXICO!!

  • Thank you for the tips, kalispera64! I will look into them.

  • Great,Joorum!!

    Take care!!

    Saludos!!

  • why would u consider Zombie a giallo?!? thats a ZOMBIE movie...

  • Yeah, even the title makes it clear. A giallo is an Italian murder mystery with mild horror elements but not a full-fledged horror movie. That's it.

  • as i said before, the classifications of italian horror films confuse me sometimes =]

  • Joorum, you are amazing! One of my fave soundtracks of all time! :)

  • Happy to hear that you like it! Thanks!

  • Don't remember this film really good. But it had a witch in it, right? ;)

  • Mater Tenebrarum (the nurse). Veronica Lazar as the mother of darkness.

  • Instead of making a request, I figured you'd get around to posting it and here it is.

Thank you Joorum for another excellent Sndtk posting.

  • Nothing to it, Paul! I have a habit of being predictable sometimes.

  • Wow And I Thought You Could Not Amaze Me Again! lol you and Argento movies is A Really nice Pair

  • Thanks for that, my friend! I think I've done a lot of work in my country to get Argento's work more recognition. So much in fact that it has reached the point annoying those closest to me... but it's all worth it, haha!

  • This and "The Church" are my favorite scores by Emerson! I actually have this album. I had to walk through the bad part of Hell to get it too!

    Yes, Joorum. I am jealous!

But thanks for posting! You rule!

  • Thanks, blueheart!

  • The score sounds less horror and more fantasy. However, there are parts that do sound haunting. Great upload! I have see this film.

  • This score is not the easiest one to like but it surely deserves its place in horror history.

  • Track 1 will always be my favorite. You are the MAN, I didn't upload this 'cause I knew only you could do it justice. *big hugs*

  • Aww, thanks! If you got any other soundtrack to upload, I'd be pleased to hear it! No need to worry whether I have it or not. I don't have to be the one and only "OST guy", lol!

  • You and I decided a while back that you'd be the one to put this OST up. I just feel like your channel is this awesome "museum" of sound, and Inferno would fit so perfectly in it.

Sure, you don't have to be the one and only OST Guy, but you ARE the best one there is *Carmie bows to Joorum* :-D

  • Hahahaa! So odd, lol!

I'll keep doing my thing until YouTube feels otherwise.

  • thanks for sending this, enjoyed it.

  • No problem! Thanks for commenting!

  • Although the music is good, still prefer Sus' all the way!

  • Me too but they're not even supposed to be similar. Luckily that is, I would hate to see a "Suspiria 2" =)

  • Yes, Sus' is suppose to be scary, Inf's is, IMHO, more of a gothic OST.

Well, I've got to say something wicked this way comes: A Suspiria remake.

  • Yeah but I won't pay any attention to it. Never do think about it myself.

  • Yes, that's the best thing to do anyway.

Someway, it seems some remakes make the originals get more widely known and often compared favorably with the newer versions :)

  • cool soundtrack

  • I think the most popular song is track 13 - Mater Tenebrarum. Some would call it Inferno's main theme.
