At 0:22, you show a payload. On the side of the payload is a convex yellow appendage to the fuselage. Is that your mirror for the camera or is it something else?
@MrTomcarnahan You guessed right! It is a fairing covering a mirror. It also has a spring loaded hinge. Our first HD camera had a sideways looking lens and the idea was that the mirror would capture a view of the ground as the rocket flew up. At apogee, the parachute would deploy and pull the pin holding the mirror in place and it would flip up and look sideways to the horizon on the way down. It worked perfectly twice then got tanged in the chute and tore off. We just glued it on after that.

@thunderrockets The MSP430 LaunchPad comes assembled. All you need to do is solder the wires to the terminal pads. If the system was pre fabricated it would drive the price up and defeat the purpose of keeping the cost down.
We also have designs coming that use the MSP430 LaunchPad with other sensors, so it would be best to insure that all people were using the same platform. It makes support easier.
Besides, we want to contribute to the community, not make profits off it. That's not us.
