  • I guess going to band camp finally paid off for a bunch of them...

I can only imagine how cool that must have been!

  • so. believe it or not TUSK, almost broke up fleetwood mac before they made the song. the reason is, its about fleetwoods DONG. yes his garbage ahha. stevie nicks didnt wanna do a song about it. he also wanted a live instrumental band to record it. he first went to UCLA's (EWW) band, the band director said no, then he went to usc's band, and they obviously said yes. and really no joke, at like 2:30, you can hear fleetwood Moan and then tap a cowbell. (as if he beat off on a girls face. lol)

  • What the hell does "Tusk" mean? Since 1979, I have know idea what the hell the Fleetwood Mac is singing about.

  • a tusk is more or less the same thing as a fang :) .... Big teeth

  • dont talk like that about srevie she don'i need a thing she be hot without tits

  • best song 100/5

  • One of the best albums IMO...

  • Kickass vid, thanks.

  • Well, bearmare, that may all be true ... but USC is still the only marching band that I know of with a platinum album to its credit.

  • we had to play this at a football game needless to say our drums sucked major ass and had to stop mid song... but rest of the band did well

  • Still a damn good song after all these years.

  • Stevie Nicks was SO HOT!

  • true dat

  • That is so camp, the marching band thing. Still, one of Fleetwood Mac's classic.

(And so good you got the whole clip up without it being censored!)

  • One of my all time fav music clips this....so simple but so effective!!!

  • One of my all time favorite concert performances was on the Tusk tour in 1979 with Fleetwood Mac at the Forum in Inglewood, CA . The USC Marching Band filed in on risers behind the stage to help perform this song. What a Blast!

Dodger Stadium was used to record the song for the acoustics.

  • Thanx for the info, i was about to ask who the marching band was. Cool vidio!

  • There is no skool like old skool! Love it!

  • Thanks so much for posting this!!! This was my favorite song as a little girl, my mum said I used to try and copy Stevie Nicks and the marching girls:)) You've made my day!! xx

  • Always Loved this video, the USC band was so cool and Loved Stevie with the BA TAWN!!!

  • Infera06 you area complete idiot and no nothing about great music. tusk is a pop masterpeice.

  • well yes but a piss artist. ruined it

  • ur a piss artist

  • i honestly think Tusk was their poetic way of saying ... boner. haha. "Just say that you want me" .. Mmmhmmm. For realz.

  • An awesome song and an awesome video. I love John McVie in this! lol!

About the video... has there ever been another video like this by Fleetwood Mac? (i.e. a montage of seemingly random camera work of the band?) Or anyone in particular at all?

  • John McVie was the cardboard cut out, correct?

  • Indeed. He was in Tahiti during the video recording.

  • what does it mean when they say "tusk"? why is this related to cheating?

  • Rat Terriers and owners are sissies!

    TUSK!

  • jesus christ people, cant we just listen to the incredible music and accept that sometimes people dont get along?

  • you live in oregon, but you cant spell it?

  • I love this song! Just make me want to jump up and start dancing wildly like Gomer Pyle man!

  • I used to love this video as a little girl, my dad was a huge fan of fleetwood mac and always used to play this song to me when i was a kid, i love this song!

  • Wow. Just wow.

  • I'm guessing they didn't have schools in those days either, you stupid racist fu*k!

  • hey iceeoadfan not all black people or dark colourd skin people are the type that start fights like u think sometimes it's white people and u can't put the blame on just one caulture it's very fucking rasist

  • chal,

I know that not all people of color are commiting crimes and I know there are white criminals out there. I'm not trying to paint some we're perfect and others are not picture. Nobody is perfect.

I would just rather live around, work with and socialize with other whites in our own well-defined areas. I respect the same type of self-determination for other races as well.

What I seek to resist is forcing people to live in a way they don't want to live.

  • well said man they dont see the world as we do they need to get out more see the world as we see it many of them dont know what gos on in there own backyard

  • I don't like seeing the negroids in this video.

  • ok kind sir, keep in mind that it is u whites, who brought us here, talkin about takin us out of the jungle. if u read ur history u will see that africa, that is blak ppl were refining gold, and educating there own while whites were still living in caves and swinging from trees. in other words, u didn't take us out of the jungle, u put us in one. get it str8 massa.

  • They were also selling their own people into bondage at the same time. don't forget that there are 2 sides to the same coin. every race creed and culture out there is guilty of of enslaving another group of people.

  • it is true that they were selling their own people into slavery, but wat u have to understand is that slavery existed in Africa long before the trans atlantic slave trade. the thing is though this kind of slavery was very different in comparison to wat was experienced in the caribbean. in there system of slavery there was no active attempt to dehumanize people, in fact slaves could actually rise in their social standing.

  • They? who? upper class, tribesman who were the sons of chiefs? if we don't get the fine guys outta here, they will take our pussy?

    that mentality?

    jesus

  • ur not gettin it, wen it was found out wat exactly was goin on over here in the west, then there was growing resistance, on the parts of those who engaged in the trade.

  • What the English did to the Scotich nd the Irish was pretty bad or did you not see Brave Heart. What the Romans did to just about the entire world was real bad. What the Jewish people have suffered through the years is the worst any group of people have been treated. Remember Hitler.

  • Yeah, anything with Mel Gibson in it is true to the bone.

  • hey dont forget spielberg,he helped promote the plight of the jews

  • I was being sarcastic. I hate Mel Gibson. And as for spielberg, we already knew there was a holocaust, we didn't need him to make millions out of it, and turn the holocaust into a goddamned franchise!

  • Er, sorry...did I miss something? How does this relate to Tusk?

  • Cool song and cool video - brings back memories of "phantom fumbles." F-USC.

  • Does anyone know what this video is taken from?

    A documentary ?

  • I'm pretty sure it was the video for MTV back in the old days.

  • Tony Harrison from the Mighty Boosh mentioned this in series 3 in the Party episode

    Yay!!

  • It was also mentioned in series 1 by Naboo

  • I just saw it on the episode as well, but I'm not sure why he mentioned it...I figured it'd be a ridiculously long song. And it doesn't seem like it would be good for dancing to.

  • -FREIHEIT---

  • Rich in memory...so many memories.

  • "tusk" --FREIHEIT---

  • what does the song "tusk" mean?!

  • USC huh?great...

  • Stevie Nicks twirling her baton in this song/video is one of the signature moments of the late 1970's.

  • this song is epic

  • always liked the song but loved it even more when I was watching USC play some other football team and at half time the USC marching band played this and they marched to it and at the very end they spelled TUSK...and after a brief pause they changed it to TUSC!

    Awesome!

  • 15 step by Radiohead is similar to this. Might wabt to check it out if you've not heard it.
