I'd say one has to have a ton of voice and breath control to sing this song.....even years later, Sue Raney makes it a pleasure and Dreamy to listen to......
This lady has a beautiful voice. Unfortunate that she never received the level of recognition to which she is surely entitled. Lovely timbre, range, and control. A delight.
Just saw Judy Roberts this evening at Marriot Newport Beach and she played Dreamsville. Judy, a pianist/keyboard player/Jazz artist said that she dare not sing "Dreamsville" with Sue Raney in the audience. Judy told the audience to go on YOUTUBE and listen to Sue singing this song. So here I am. Sue, Carmen it was great sharing your table tonight. Judy, you rock!
Heavenly!!! This is real music!!! Ditto to posts by those who praise this magnificent singer and the alto player, as well as the great Henry Mancini!!!
A divine song, introduced by Lola Albright in a memorable album orchestrated and conducted by Mancini. Sue Ray does beautifully by it, a singer's singer with impeccable credentials, the best.

Superb. First time I`ve seen her. Heard her on a CD last year singing Summer Wishes. Came on youtube to look for her, and wow, here she is, great singer. Thank you for putting her on here.
Credit to lyricists Jay Livingston and Ray Evans. This was originally an instrumental song from Mancini's "Peter Gunn" album with John Williams on piano. A love song for hipsters. This TV series was a turning point in Mancini's career, the first time that he teamed with Blake Edwards.

My sister was one of her students for years. Sue and Carmen (her husband) remain close family friends to this day. They are two of the most down to earth/genuine people you could ever be so fortunate to know.
Sue still sings and every concert I've been fortunate to attend has been sold out. She is truly one of a kind.
We were fortunate to have Sue Raney at the Four Freshmen International Convention in 2006. I have been a real fan of hers ever since. Wonderfull job!!!

Doesn't it make you sick that cRAP and HIP-HOP have screwed up the gene pool of music? Henry Mancini and Snoop Dawg! Now there's an oxymoron for you!

A splendid performance. I remember on
this program Mancini did a big band
montage playing the theme songs of
Shaw, Goodman, Kenton, Ellington, etc.
Can you upload that performance?
