@0:13 & 0:36, look at the emblem on his superhero outfit. anyone having a passing acquaintance with basic mandarin recognizes that as the ideograph for "zhong," as in the mandarin word "zhongguo," meaning "china." is it possible that the craft we see from 0:01-0:11 is actually a top secret chinese air force experiment? as well as the suit?
I've been curious about what the heck Homestar was dressed as in that one Holiday Toon... now not only do I know, but I understand what the heck he was singing about at the end when I clicked on him. Heh...
The walkway/bridge that the hero and his girlfriend were on looked alot like the bridge/walkway that was on the start of Star Trek : Deep Space Nine. (and yes, I'm embarrased (sp) that I know that)
I remember, here in Argentina, we had this show on friday night. Monday: Tales of the Gold Monkey, tuesday: Knight Rider, Wednesday: Dukes of Hazzard, Thursday: Voyagers, and Fridays: Greatest American Hero...
@skywize He shrank himself while holding it and left it on a grain of sand and lost it after going back to normal size.. (I don't recall whether that was the first one or the second one.)
@tieran2009 That was the second one. After that he tried asking for a third one in the Greatest American Heroine pilot but I guess the aliens learned their lesson, lol.
The best thing about being 35-40 is being old enough to remember and recognize the greatness and singularity of television in the 80's, yet young enough to appreciate the irony as its coolness is discovered on Youtube. If you're reading this, and you're 20......well......you missed it. Enjoy 2 and a Half Men, suckas!

@serberious My fiance is 30 (I'm 38), and I told her that she looks like a young Connie Selleca when she has her hair tied up, as she does in this intro! This was a little before her time, but I convinced her that was a compliment!
@Gmackematix Yes it was on in the UK, I remember this sadly as I'm a 70's child and this was out in the 80's. Just looking at the credits brings back memories Cannell, Lupo, Post and Carpenter are some very famous names of that era for the likes of such programmes like The A-Team. Heck Cannell was the guy on the typewriter with the pipe at the end lol
