Ok first of i dont know if your form the USA ( after high school you go straight to university ) style program or the CANADIEN style program ( after high school you go to cegep ). But the basic concept is the same. Went you do advance studies ugely you get payed less then people who do lower studies. But you get more benifits secure job, retirement fund, anssurence, etc but ugely your salary can go to 30 000 or à

40 000. Only once you get promotion you get good salary.

But in that am not talking about pretigous job like lawer ( witch more independant of your skills ) , doctor , advance scientist, etc. Those pretigous job make alot of money. But that rarely job that req either risk ( lawer ) or un reasonable year of studie ( example doctor 7 year of university... ) but most of the time the more paying jobs are the one whit less studies. Either less year in university ( USA ) or cegep ( CANADA).
