  • Another sweet feature about the nexus one turn by turn direction is that it has traffic updates on the fly. For example if you see Red on your route, it means that theres heavy traffic in that area... which you can also ask for alternatives routes. I'm sure you already know that but this is for the first timers.

  • It is all about Real GPS(Nexus) and not real GPS(Iphone). The real GPS is a little bit more accurate and it is free(No internet or 3G connection required), but as rules of thumb, it is required to set in a car or a open space in order to work, and it takes a bit of time to recognize the satalites.(Same as the real GPS device like tomtom) You know...it won't work in your basement or in a well.

  • The Nexus One now has multi touch. It was added by an update.

  • this video was uploaded 3 weeks ago, this update was pushed out today....

  • Which is why I said it *now* has multi touch. I wasn't accusing you of being inaccurate, just mentioning that new information is available.

  • Great demo. Thank you! I can't wait to get the Nexus One. I've never had an android phone so I can't wait till this comes out on Verizon.

  • Apple really include turn-by-turn instructions, landscape maps, and voice commands on OS 4.0!

  • Good for apple, it's about time... Android did that in OS 2.0....

  • PS: Apple still didn't do it, I forgot to write a "must" - Apple *must* really ...

PPS: Wasn't voice commands only available for Android 2.1? That's what I read

  • Nope 2.0... the motorola sholes had it first.

  • apple just got screwed by google because its never going to have a better gps than nexus one unless it makes its own maps..very unlikely

  • In the states maybe the Nexus app is better than the Maps on the original iPhone, still, I have to say I love how the Nexus One turned up to be but I have a few comments to give:

    1. The iPhone has a dim sensor, you can adjust your brightness according to the room and surrounding light. If you don't turn the lights on in the room the iPhone will keep the display to that brightness level you've chosen. Yours is bright because it was set that way.

  • Wrong

The nexus has auto dim as well

  • @csewell2008 I was referring to the iPhone about which you said in the video that is too bright and may present non-vivid colors. I don't even want to remotely suggest that Nexus has porer screen than the iPhone. I mean it's 720p isn't it ? That's already too much for the iPhone :)

  • Is iphone maps app using Google Maps for a source and routing?

  • i knew eventually id have an apple fanboy comment a useless comment like yours on one of my videos, just didnt think it would be on a video where im clearing pointing out how much better google nav is compared to the google maps on the apple iphone..... but its ok, im just glad your iphone is using google products, and making google money via adsense

  • Yes Google follows... Directions to where your going by voice not by reading words on a screen like you have to with an iCrApper.

  • Better? ha. I didn't know apple had maps or navigation. I was pretty sure it was a Google product. You'd expect Google's software to work better on a Google phone. It's no surprise. Get over it.

  • Have you had any 3g issues with your nexus one?

  • Ur a Baltimore bama. D.C is where its at! lol

  • i lose my mind in dc traffic... lol

  • Thats why you take the metro. I get sick from the Baltimore fumes. ;p

  • i hear ya man, im actually in owingsmills, close but far enough to avoid those fumes

  • Well I live in Silver Spring. Thats right next to the traffic. lol

  • i get my nexus one tomorrow! great comparisons

    im coming from a g1

  • ive had a few android phones, the g1 was always my favorite

i can honestly say this is a HUGE improvement from even the droid, you will love every second you spend with this phone
