I think this is a great video that represents the stereotypes and intolerances of a country ironically based on immigration.

By the way, her spanish is horrible, which means that she actually grew up in within the frame of an American culture, embracing English as first language (as most of immigrants do). So what are you complaining about? By the way, do you really realize that only a hundred years ago California, Texas and 2 more southern states were Mexican? GOD thank God I'm European.

If english is your first language why waste time learning another language when everybody from every country in the world second language is english. gringo (its medieval spanish) cames from greek (griego) and it's used for foreing people who speak another language that a spanish speaker can not undesrtand (me suena a gringo / me suena a chino = that's greek for me) italians and portuguese people aren't gringos but german and english people are gringos. In mexico it's only used for north american people but not in another countries where people speak spanish too. (I'm spanish, I know what I'm talking about)

gringo doesn't mean foreigner nor white man/woman. Gringo comes from "Green Go" ("green" refering to dollars and persons who use the dollars (the people from the United States) and Go from "go out". in spanish nowadays means "american man/woman" but the real use of that word comes from many many years ago when mexicans who lived near the north frontier yellled to americans the expression: "Green go!" in spanish "alejate norteamericano".
