i have been watching many videos of NORTH caucasian ensemble's....

and they all do great dances with great music..

but why do those cameramen need to be such idiots? they do their best to prevent us seeing the best part of the dances all the time..

you ppl must understand, there is "Chechen" nokhchi dance, and there is adiga "Shshan" dance, now ppl prenouce it as sheshen but it is shshan, the first sh you say without "e".

"Sh" means horse, and "Shan" means behavior or running (the point is it means to be like a horse).

all adiga dances got meanings, "lapachas" means stick the toes ( in the gorund )

laparife means kicking toes or legs.

zighalat means be on the top or be high.

this is kabartey islamey dance and not chechen dance, chechen's dance is little more different like all got some differences and similarities, and about the music i think i know what music you mean, and true it sounds similar but it is not the same music, this music my father remebers it as a qafa music, here they made it more fast. i can assure you that this is pure adyge music.
