@818MRDREW wow....i know everyone is entitled to their own opinion. but wow...forreal? you respect all these other artists but not Talib??? you must have breezed through a few Talib tracks without really listening - because anyone who has really listened to Talib will tell you he is a powerhouse lyricist. I agree w ShadowNinja.....go back and review before disrespecting Talib like that.
Pharoahe used a verse from twenty years ago today in 2008 what does that tell you about how beyond his time he is?He and all the other emcees here people dont understand real music is timeless that verse was still amazing after so long
damn, b thoughts style is so fuckin infallible and unstoppable. His rhyme schemes can spill out anywhere like its completely natural and it aint no thang. Unconfined and uncontainable. I bet he bust freestyle from the time he woke up to the time he went to sleep, without gettin tripped up or caught up in a pause or anything like that.
didn't know the name of that track was renaissance rap...i just thought it was the second half of move. anyways, this live version of the beat is better.
@818MRDREW ...talib cant hang w those dudes...even in the blackstar album he rode mos defs nuts the entire way...get outta here w that...maybe some method man or rakim...talib doesnt impress me.
@ShadowNinja215 you obviously have no idea what your talkin about...its kool tho..if youve heard the blackstar album you would know that....its like when lauren hill held it down for the fugees..thats pretty much what mos did for blackstar...talib has his moments but for the most part its a mos part.....
@818MRDREW I've owned the Blackstar Album for at least 3 years now and it's one of my favorite albums ever. So you can get out of here with your idea of me never having heard the Blackstar Album. Mos and Talib are great in their own ways. Arguably Mos is more creative than Talib, but that doesn't mean Mos carried his ass through the whole album. I listen to each of them individually and when they collaborate. They're amazing MCs, they just have different approaches.
@ShadowNinja215 whatever man....ive had this converstaion many times and your the 1st person who has ever stuck up for talib kweli...all you have to do is look at the success of solo albums and my point will stand firm...im not dissin talib, thats just a fact. and if you love the blackstar album that much than its clear why you cant see that...btw ive had that blacktar ablum since it came out so i know what im talkin about, i also have solo albums from both artists so idk man..do some research.
@818MRDREW talib aint wat he use to be, will say that. Lyrically, he is a heavyweight, everything else has begun to fall as of late. ever since eardrum
@818MRDREW dude you need to listen to the reflection eternal-train of thought album... in my opinion that album is a masterpiece and one of the best hiphop albums ever. please go and listen to "memories live" and"good mourning".....hip hop dont get any better than this!!
Beat is from 'Move' off of The Renaissance by Q-Tip
'Move' has two tracks in one (well my version did) and it's the second track.
