I met Dr Harry Edwards in Toronto, Canada on the 20th of May 2008. What a Great Man, he is a HERO, Made me proud as a Black man.

Dr. Edwards points out the following facts:

*1/3 of black males between the ages of 15-29 are under the control of courts. They are either under investigation, under arrest, on parole or on probation.

* United States jails more of it's citizens than any other nation (2.1 million people).

41.2% of those individuals incarcerated are black males.

He then asks us as black people, "Who is going to stand up, analyze, and project a vision of those challenges today?"

Mr.Edwards is the epitome of a black man. Men like Mr. Edwards use to be so common in black communities and now it`s very rare to see men of stature and strength like Mr. Edwards.
