  • You're awesome!!!! Why don't you post more vids???

    XD

  • @AhYouKnowWho Thank you! Honestly I haven't posted more videos cuz I dont have a proper camera and my editing skills aren't that great lol. Pretty lame excuse...but Im working on it ;)

  • @VikingWannaBe51887 Get a mac!!!! XD

  • These guys play too much World of Warcraft.... -_-

  • @SuperOmazing This isn't World of Warcraft. This is Renaissance reenactment. Everything in the camp including the weapons, uniforms and the techniques were displaying are from the period.

  • Love the fact he has one leg yet still can do all that! :D

  • High five bro!

  • You're awesome !

  • What did the guy say after your first defeat? All I understood was that it was a bad pun about legs.

    Also, very nice fights

  • @froschgesicht He had said " I think he has a leg up on you sir! " Which was a constant pun said to me within the camp ;) Its all fun and games

  • Wow the man is amazing!

  • Five guesses how he lost is leg, and if any of them aren't "He was doing some stupid shit with swords." You're wrong

  • Hope you don't mind me asking, but how did you loose your leg?

  • @MrJaspertheclown No, I dont mind if you ask :) I lost my leg at birth due to the umbilical cord wrapping around my leg. It had cut the circulation and was amputated right after birth.

  • Kicked out his crutch! That's cowardice!

  • Tis but a fleshwound!

  • this guy....is excellence!

  • @Sutorenja Thanks! :D

  • tis only a flesh wound!

  • you are an inspirtion to fighters every where thanks for the video

  • damn such good control too, very well done. A true warrior never lets anything get in his way, you are a credit to whomever you are trained under.

    Meyer Freifechter Guild

  • @freyfechter thanks man! Iv trained under Bob Charron :) hes been translating Fiore De liberi for about 14 years now, I can't recommend him enough. Definitely look him up!

  • Cool work Dude !!!!!!

  • its long john silver!

  • It really felt like the sword and board guy was holding back. Still, you have impressive legwork even though you are missing one. Kudos!

  • wow you are good :D

  • This is the best fucking thing

  • 1:15 that move was fucking evil

  • Kudos to you, good sir! World needs more people who don't give up even if life deals you nastier hand of cards!

  • @DragstMan thanks man! I hope this video finds those people ;)

  • Awesome work indeed good sir. Besides the great swordplay, it gives me some hope of getting around on my own merely messed up foot decently someday.

  • lol at the stretcherbearers carrying away the crutch.

  • That was extremely impressive, good show.

  • Wow, really impressive fencing, indeed. I especially like the way you play with the distance btw you and your opponent. (Btw is that a messer in your hand?)

  • @eglar1820 thank you! Actually its a falchion, but its essentially the same as far fighting techniques that you may apply to using a messer. Just a difference in style ;)

  • That's effin ace man.

  • Amazing video, I truly admire the fact that your opponents have so much respect for you that they don't take it easy on you.

    Keep it up

  • Ok, I thought this was just simply a wild clip.

Then I saw the shield kick, and now I'm picking up grey matter off of my floor from my brain exploding.

    Positively epic.

  • damn! respect!

  • well this is certainly not something I thought I would see today a one legged man who could win an ass kicking contest....and sorta just did

  • Wow, just Wow. I'm very impressed with your ballance, speed and fury. Not to mention your excellent moves. Your a pro man. I'd be honoured to cross swords with you once.

Any chance you'll be visiting a tournament or medieval reenacment in europe any time soon?

Greetings from a student at the EMCA(European Medieval Combat Acadamy) in Holland.

  • @EricBloodaxeTheRed Thank you for the kind words :) I plan to eventually visit Europe someday to pursue my love for history as well as partake in several reenactment battles and WMA tournaments ;) If I ever make it out that way I'll be sure to let you know :D I'd be honored to spar with you guys

  • @VikingWannaBe51887

Ok, cool man. Maby you can come to the big Dijon seminars in France someday. Or off course the world championships in germany. I plan to participate there in the summer of 2012. See you there?

  • I like how he did not take it easy on you. Kicking your crutch was not dirty pool but good fighting tactic. However, your counter was masterful.

  • I like how your opponent did not take it easy on you. Kicking your crutch out from under you was not dirty pool but a good fighting tactic and your counter was masterful.

  • @MaddogmaxFX I'm glade you enjoyed it man! I'v been sparring with him for years, so he knew how good my balance was ;)

  • Fucking epic man! Its obvious he loves fancing...

  • You would be a heck of pirate! Hhehe :) Really that was awsome. You look agile and not at a disadvantage. Maybe people think your gonna stumble around and then you surprise them ;) Gotta have respect for your foe, thats todays lesson for me :)

  • @HolmlundSWE Hey Thanks! I have been offered to join MANY Pirate groups lol. I use that as an advantage. Ppl think I can't fight until they see me moving ;) Thanks for the nice words

  • that shit was epic man.. much props

  • It was truly remarkable seeing your versatility. You turned your disability around and used it to help find an alternative method. Moving so fast and light with such precision. I am verily impressed and inspired.

  • @DamienZshadow

Thank you! Im glade that so many people find this inspiring :) Makes it feel im doing much more then educating people on history. I had several veterans from the army approach me and thanked me for doing what I do :) One Marine had told me he had recorded me the weekend before and had showed the video to his friend that had lost both his legs from an IED. He said showing his friend the video of me fighting gave him hope to move on. I felt honored to have done that for him :)

  • @VikingWannaBe51887 You're very welcome. I'm also a history buff but I'd be very interested in any future videos you throw together. If you plan on uploading more content, I'd be glad to subscribe.

  • Gotta admit I approve of your choice of weaponry, the Falchion has always been my favorite bladed weapon of the Middle ages. The finesse of a sword, yet the capability to chop like an axe.

  • This man is my hero. Amazing swordfighter.

  • @LessaAlessandro

Thank you! Hopefully after the holidays and once I get settled I plan to make a series of videos of me sparring and studying WMA :) I'll be covering not only the techniques that I use as an amputee but as well as cover my equipment and throw in some reviews on swords and armour ;)

  • Wow, thats realy cool. Tough i think, you should make medieval crutch. Then it would look even more epic.

  • @RedMarxMan I actually do :D I wasn't using them that day cuz they fell apart :( Im really rough on them from fighting and crutches dont last a long time with me

  • haha very well played :D

  • This one went in my "favourites". Truly epic, and all my respect to you!

  • Wow! Breathtaking...

  • @Scolopendrina

Thank you! I'v had a lot of practice :D

  • Wait, your crutches had no shoulder sling, so how did you jump/ pivot with them at 1.03- 1.05, when your hand wasn't holding the handles? If you controlled them by clasping your arm to your side (I can't tell from looking at the vid), that was superb control of your implement! Must have left a bruise when you landed though. You sir, make a mockery of all us who still have both their legs.

  • @VorpalDrake

They actually do. I had a pair of crutches custom made for me for fighting ;). It actually has a small deal for my armpit, but if you look closely I grib the crutches with my armpit and have my stump (hip) rest of the handle while I grip the other portion of the handle with my hand. That was something I learned to do myself growing up, when I needed to carry things. Here soon I'll make a series of videos that will show the techniques I use with the crutches and prosthesis.

  • @VikingWannaBe51887 That is just... epic. My vocabulary fails me about how extraordinary your movements are :)

  • RESPECT!

I'm currently studying Fiore too! But I doubt even on 2 good legs that my footwork and body mechanics are as well-honed as yours.

    *Salute*

  • @VorpalDrake

Yeah, becoming an amputee at birth tends to help footwork and balance :D If you study Fiore I would highly suggest you take a course by Bob Charron. Iv taken two of his work shopes and his translations are remarkable! Hes been translating Fiore's work for over 13 years! Look him up! You wont be disapointed

  • @VikingWannaBe51887, I know who he is! But I live half the globe away :( My Salle is based in Singapore, just North of the Equator, lol. I've seen articles on him and his wife, Linda, who does some awesome mounted swordwork. If you ever plan to visit, look up PHEMAS :D

  • @VorpalDrake oh wow. That is far lol. I think its awesome that more people that are eastern, have a keen interest in Western Martial Arts :). Here soon Im planning on doing more videos on some solo drills ppl can try at home :). That was you can cover what I'v covered so far ;). Sound good?

  • @VikingWannaBe51887 : Definitely! My thanks.

  • Excellent! Thanks for sharing.

  • You rock dude. I salute you.

  • @togurotheman

thank you man! I try ;)

  • @togurotheman yeah, teres nothing more to say

  • "I think he's got a leg up on ya" What a douche XD

  • Amazing performance. You are very talented. We have a Medieval Fare here in Adelaide.Perhaps you should perform in Australia! Looking forward to you posting more videos.

  • An amazing performance. You are very talented and fascinating to watch. We have a Medieval Fair here in Adelaide.Perhaps you should come and perform in Australia. Looking forward to you posting more videos.Good luck with all your future sword fights.

  • nice foot work...;)

Seriously, this is really good work here. Especially with it not being choreographed. How long have you been at it, and do you work with ARMA?

  • @KodieDaBear

Hey thanks! I'v been performing at ren fair for 7 years now. I started out doing stage combat then started learning historical fencing :) My group all study and practice western martial arts and primarily focus on fiore de liberi. Granted...we can't do a lot of the techniques for obvious safety reasons, and we make the fights last longer for the show.
