nothing is wrong with it.. maybe you move your head more to the left on the down swing a little causing a open club face but ot her then that ill see you at the tour =]
you're standing waaaay too close to the ball at impact which make it hard for the club to reach the ball at impact since your arms'll be stretched out. and therefore you are compensating it with a wierd out of control body turn...
i have the same kind of set up because i feel more confident being close to the ball and 95% of the time im still bent at impact as i focuz on the knee bend being the same through impact :) but ye ill try n move bit further away for a lil more consistency and btw im off 8 XD
Keep your rear against an imaginary wall throughout the swing. Get your belt buckle pointed at the target as your shoulders square for imact. Your hip turn needs to be ahead of your shoulder turn until the ball is gone.
Right on. If you don't normally straighten up like that it's cool. I just like to make the point because most amatuers neglect proper body movement, especially the lower body. The golf swing is about correct use of the body and club, but it's almost impossible to use the club correctly when the body isn't used correctly.
@majasalvador12 i dont think theres anything wrong with copying tiger, who wouldnt want his swing?? but i dont agree youre standing up because youre too close, you can do that from too far away. youre maybe only half an inch too close, look how close tiger stands. i think you just need to keep bum stuck out and straighten left leg sooner to turn hips quicker.
You need to work on your lower body movement. You are way too upright at impact. When I pause the vid at impact you are standing straight up. This is no good. Keep your rear against an imaginary wall throughout the entire swing. Get your right knee over the middle of your stance with your belt buckle pointed at the target as your shoulders square for impact. Keep your rear sticking out behind you!!!!
No! Pause the video at impact. He is standing up straight. There is no way the right leg should be straight here. He loses his spine angle and forces the shoulders over the top.
Hay man, one tip get your little finger and put it to the left on you groin noe spread your fingers. now were your thumb ends, thats were your club shud be, loosk weird but allows the club ot pass through
Looks very good mate. One thing i'd say is smooth it out a little bit, practice a better rhythm you dont need to slow your swing down jsut smooth it out its a touch snappy if anything.
your posture is off, right arm out too far at the top, bring the club back way to far for a 7 iron, the club is layed off at the top too, you have too much weight on your right foot at impact and your hips are spinning out, your follow thru is alot of wasted motion...the only reason why i said stop trying to be tiger was because your trying to finish like him but you have no idea how his swing works and how he gets there - you must understand something before you emulate it.
ok i see your point. First of all, I didn't say anything that i'm trying to imitate tiger's swing;maybe my swing really looks like tiger's swing in your own eyes. Second, you should have said all these tips, or should i say criticisms, about my swing, rather than the degrading "stop trying to be like tiger." this way i can fix my swing because i know my flaws. you just have ill intentions, you hater.
Your thrusting your hips at impact and are bouncing up at impact, making it impossible to have consistently good contact. Maintain your spine angle a.k.a. your posture through impact.
your spine angle is to upright at adress and throughout the swing causeing you to hit the outside of the ball rather than the inside, Try getting more bent over at adress making your swing flatter giving you a chance to hit the inside of the ball.
Swing looks good! You look like you're getting solid ball contact from the sound and divot. You don't have problems man.. you're just set up closer to the ball for a fade in this video. Use your same swing and step back 2 inches for a shallower plane and that's your mini-fade.
To start off with I would focus on slowing down your hips a little. Making sure your follow through is after your get contact with the ball. Hit then follow through. A good way to work on it is hit one ball with both feet together, touching at the heels then hit. Then your next shot feet apart, normal stance and hit. Keep alternating each shot. The best way you can fix it quick is to get lessons. They will improve your game in months versus years. Also can unlearn any bad habits early.
You're in a good position at the top, but it looks like you really fire your hips on the downswing. It's hard to tell from the clip, but if you're right knee and hip get ahead of your hands, it's very likely that you'll hit either a push or a pull-hook. This was the exact problem I had a while back. I started holding my hips back a little bit on the downswing, and the result was much straighter shots. But, as emk said, go see a pro... they can help you much more than any youtube advice.
Go to a local golf pro and having him take a look at it...if you are slicing can be so many variables that the people on youtube might just make you worse. Finally, from the looks of the video, you might be getting outside your swing plane at the top of your swing(too far outward) that could cause you to slice because when you are trying to get back on plane you are unable to square the face by impact... talk to an instructor.
when i videotape my swng, at the top of the backswing the club is pointing way left of the target, especially long club shafts due to a rounder horizontal swing plane. i tried to correct this, trying to point the club parallel to the target, but it seems not natural for me.
Your grip pressure may have a lot to do with your slice/draws. A draw is a good thing though. Almost every shot the professionals hit have a certain degree of draw, nothing wrong with a slight draw even when you are not trying to hit one. I wouldn't hold the club so tight, if you are too strong in the grip it can keep you from squaring the club and releasing at impact thus for a right handed player, a slice.
And it could be the strong grip, or both. All you want to do is be comfortable and confident over the ball. It's all about the fundamentals. It looks like you have a good handle on things. Always have a target and check the alignment. Practice, practice.
Try not to think too much about swing speed, keeping an arm straight, etc. This game is hard enough. Be careful not to be too strong with the grip. The draw could be many things. It could be your alignment (if you were aiming down the line it looks like you're a little open)
Hi, here are some thoughts. Starting out, it appears you are a little upright with your posture. The only thing I would change would be adding just a tiny bit more knee flex. Everything else over the ball looks good, I like the way your hands just hang from your body. That's real important. I would like to see your grip from another angle, but from this view it looks ok. Also, what's your grip pressure like? As hard as it is for some players, too tight is a definite swing breaker.

NO THE PROBLEM IS YOU ARE HITTING THE Ball
ok this might sound funny at first but...
IT is a swing not a hit
you have to have the same speed right through don t increase speed 30 cm before impact. keep it constant and crital clear.
cheers

your hand at setup is to close to the ball and you could shorten your swing a bit but that shot was soild

Hello,
looks like you no space to let your arms swing freely. there should be the width of one hand between your left leg and your hands.

shorten the swing of your arms a bit. You watch most tour pros have a 3 quarter arm swing but the bend their wrists more.

i have a strong grip, like 2.5 knuckles can be seen. fro 1 to 10, i think i have a grip pressure of 7.
also, i pulled this swing and a draw. do u know what might caused this? and do you suggest a faster swing speed?

also, is it alright to bend my left arm a bit in my backswing? or do i have to correct this and straighten it up as early as possible?
