The people living in what is now the Western half of China are not ethnically Chinese (who populate Eastern China and the coast) and they never have been.

The Tibetans and the nomadic Mongol/Turkic tribes have always been the majority in Western China. It's time for China to stop colonizing these lands and let these people have their own ways of life and their own land back!
