  • U guys suck shit.... Seriously lmfao

  • i defy anyone who knows this song from their childhood, or youth, to listen without breaking into a huge grin!

  • Bubbly Mommy Gun.

    (Without saxophone)

  • Bubbly Mommy Gun.

  • Imagination, invention - these things were in short supply in the commercial world of British pop music in the 1970's. Step forward 10cc.

  • Timeless classic. 10cc were called "too clever for their own good" by certain critics. I say they were years ahead of their time.

  • Brilliant track!!!!

  • I Love this song and video. I love all of the guys but Lol and Eric are my favourite. I could watch this all night.

  • Me and Myself!

  • timeless music..its avant garde meets pop..it doesnt age

  • Iwas a huge fan and still have many albums,I saw them i concert 6 times!! great video

  • Ive never heard a bad song by these guys!

  • Wonderfully crafted song from a band who in their prime were as good as anyhthing around at the time.

  • Terror Squad "humdrum" sampled this. so weird hearing the original now lol

  • That's dubbed straight off the abum cut.

  • Great band, great singing and great lyrics.

  • it is timeless.this song has been sampled in hip hop songs.

  • adam goldberg totally looks like graham gouldman

  • this is fantastic , just the same standard the beatles and the stones set, for truly great pop songs,, and look at the state of the charts now ,, utter shit and it has been that way since stock aitkin and assholes,, basically , musicians can't play their instruments anymore,, they are squares and business people not rockers and rollers,,, sad really

  • This brings back memories of 1st year at High School, hard to believe this song is 38 year old this year....Timeless indeed. thank you for posting kirkbybed

  • thats because it is being lip synced, LOL

  • This version seems almost identical to the studio version.

  • One of the best singles of 10cc in the early 70's....

  • sounds just like in the studio!

  • Comment removed

  • @bludgerable ...because this IS the studio version dubbed over the band playing live...The 'canned' crowd are added in at the end

  • My favourite 10cc track.. and jackiepriscilla I have to agree!

  • i can play this song over and over and over.....again

  • nostalgia at its best and i do agree with previous comments they were very radical with their words but did nt realise until later on in my years but above all great music '"im not in love " song of the highest order just thought of 10cc today great to be able to remenisce with the help of you people ta

  • A great song from a great band with such variety in their music.

  • Fabulous song, fabulous group, fabulous video. How come I've never seen it before?

And how come I never noticed how hot Lol Creme was when I was 12?! Very Keanu-Reeve-esque with his shiny dark locks. David Cassidy - David Schmassidy!

  • @jackiepriscilla Keanu Reeve is Lol Creme-esque :-)

  • This group were so talented & so radical at a time when most pop/glamrock groups were more interested in what they looked like rather than how good the music was, They were trailblazers..

  • @01773787797 Still the case?

  • Think about this :

Queen would never had becomw famous if it was not for 10cc.

    Think about it.....

  • Smashin! Great memories...August 1973, towards the end of the school holidays. I was 15, so everything in my world was simple. Where did the last 37 years go, ffs! :)

  • Eric Stewart always hated this song.

  • I started high school in 1973 (August) and this had just hit the charts, completely different to Rubber Bullets, but thought this song had "something" about it...there is nothing like a song that can take you back in time, this song reminds me of North Berwick High School as a young (nearly 12 you know) nervous pupil, and now i am wee bit older (understatement of the year) i still have fond memories.....of this song, and not so fond memories of the school. thank you for posting kirkbybed.

  • @GRAHAM5020 Ditto!

  • Its about time we started a campain to get the original four to re form, I think they would be suprised how many would love to see that day come

  • This is talent for music; humor, eclecticism, 70's, fresh sound, a music to relax and disconnect from this world, unfortunately this music does not reflect how the world it is but It is great to relax a bit... 10cc, every song was different from the other one

  • 10cc were such a fantastic band in the original line-up, the only band where each member could be a lead singer. Kev Godley was the only one not to sing lead on a 10cc single.

Godley & Creme's compositions stand out as they were the experimental and humourous half of the band. Stewart & Gouldman were great but a little more serious - THE PERFECT COMBINATION.

  • After each line you can hear 2 les pauls playing in harmonhy .Its the first time I heard such a sound in 74 when I was 16.It absolute magic .Copied by Thin Lizzy in later years .Eric Stewart a brilliant guitar player.Very under rated

  • Dated -if you don't it like fuck off !.

go listen to miley cyrus .

  • Take A Listen To ....The Dean & I (When The Chips Are Down ) Remix I Think You Will Like It, If Like Me You Like Anything They Did, Its On iTunes To Download Also The Wall Street Shuffle (Eminent Mix)....... You wont Be Disappointed.... :Q

  • i would still pay good money to see them if they were all together still so il just have to keep playing their music

  • @robgray1611 Only Graham Gouldman tours nowadays under the flag 10CC. I saw them last week and it was worth every penny of it.

  • great band

  • i love this !! when i was little my dad use to play this for me and my sister on his record player !! quality !! :)

  • Uh, the song was already 'dated' when it came out. It was homage to Beach Boys-style summer pop.

    And it-is-awesome.

  • Dated?! Never.

Some of you have been fed too much Simon Cowell made drivel.

  • Ha Ha brilliant - they hit the nail on the head - thank you for uploading this! X

  • The drummer is just plain sexyness..

  • I did not grow up in the 70's, but I always loved 10CC for their brilliant, very clever songs, their originality and great wit. Lol Creme may be tiny, but he looked very cute. Same goes for Eric Stewart. Graham Gouldman bears a quite striking resemblance to Jerry Seinfeld.

  • Pure brilliance, where are they now?

  • @furighoni Eric Stewart no longer performs but he released a solo album last year entitled "Viva La Difference". In recent years Lol Creme has been involved ith Trevor Horn and others in a band called The Producers. Graham & Kevin had a collaboration called GG06 and Graham continues to perform using the 10cc name, despite being the only original member in the line-up. Paul Burgess performs in GG's latest line up, Rick Fenn appears at most concerts - the remainder are just session musicians.

  • All the people who think this is dated, puh-lease! Pfft.....you know nothing about music.

  • so, so sweet and lots of memories. thank you for this post.

  • original track overdubbed over video. still good stuff though!

  • Man, I miss them. :(

  • They were GODLIKE, the CREME of the crop, pure GOLD,MAN! A great STEW: ART!!!

  • @armandbourgoignie A bit of a stretch - but sure. Mad props for effort.

I love the 10cc album "Deceptive Bends". No Godley or Creme - but still pretty amazing stuff. These guys have the right stuff, music-wise. They're like the "Guys behind the Guys" on so many hit songs of the sixties & seventies. Mega talent.

  • @localcrew Of course, they were still great after Godley and Creme left ("Deceptive Bends" , "Bloody Tourists"). Going to see Graham's 10CC this week jippie!

  • What a great band. Memories of life-defining stuff. Thanks for posting.

  • Is there anyone who knows a song "Bring on the night...." Not de Sting of course!

  • It sounds like the single version. Wow takes me back to late Summer '73 when I was all of 11 years old. Thanks for putting this up.

  • Can't believe people still come out with the "it's dated" argument. All music is dated, just different dates. And if "being dated" refers to it being old, then just because something is old, it doesn't mean it's bad.

It's better than virtually anything that's out at the moment.

  • too funny Banks sampled this and made it better, mad props lol

  • its dean!!!!!!!!

  • It's obviously a live performance run to the album track. Brilliant band - particularly before Lol & Kevin left. One of my favourite singles ever and 10CC tracks.

  • Real.

  • "the elevator in my heart went AWOL" Fantastic stuff

  • Classic 10cc!

  • BRILLIANT!!!!!!

  • 10cc were pure magic, I preferred their later stuff but every track is is a well composed gem.

    Wonderful band!

  • @YCSMusic Yeah Window in the Jungle was pretty good

  • one of the best "pop-bands" ever

  • Eric Stewart was sex on legs, the music wasn't bad either, no forget that comment, it was bloody brilliant

  • I have just heard that this was filmed at the Colston Hall Bristol. 1974 ... can anyone comment on this?

  • 10cc were great musicians and not cheesy as some of the songs may appear...just listen to the clever lyrics and yes a get together would be brilliant

  • stumble upon this great song and went bought the best of on amazon. to many memorys no to buy it

  • @jamhoward88 i cant remember when this came out but my mum had it on single played it to death lol my poor mother i think she hid it after a while drove her crazy lol xx

  • Summer of '73 when I was 15, without a care in the world. Great song and great memories!

  • I havnt heard this for years...something just prompted me to look for it...now I'm off to buy the album again..this time on CD not vinyl !!!

  • I did the same after hearing this clip..a couple of years ago though!lol!

  • Are these guys still around ? they should get back together. Great sound

  • I completely disagree that it's dated. It's timeless. Quality music

  • @bbagginz it was innovative then and now :)

  • yeah it is nice comment fatbill911

  • cheers Ratman148

  • Brilliant!!!

  • Who cares if its dated its my favourite 10cc track

  • @therealmoshmonkey You got Class A taste in music my friend. I thought I was the only one who really dug this song and its nice to have someone else who feels the same way about it. This was a really great band who never got the attention they deserved. The songs were constructed amazingly. Thanks for your comment. It made me smile!

  • @Paneeks1960 Aww thanks seriously though I can't see anything to dislike about this song its catchy good wordplay better than any of the chart garbage today.

  • @Paneeks1960 I used to listen to this on my Benkson tranny while playing truant from school. Happy/sad days.

  • 10cc and Queen were quite equal (both album debut in 1973).

But I think Queen learned more from 10cc than the other way round - guitar sound, 100 layers of vocals etc.) Besides the 10cc guys had been in in the business since the 60s. (Gouldman wrote No Milk Today, and many others).

  • Gouldman was britpop.

  • Alex Lester, oldest long-haired guy on radio, always plays this dated track lol

  • amazing increeeible un saludo desde españaaaaaaa

  • muy buena banda

  • And, I thought I was the only one who heard Brian May (Or, is it the other way round?) influence in the guitar playing.

    These guys are awesome.

    Signed,

    An Enlightened Yank

  • Perhaps it was him, after all he gets about there can be nae mistake til that. Have you heard them?

  • This was the first 45 I bought...the `B` side was bee in my bonnet...and I played the snot out of both sides !

    happy times !!

  • High school...sigh

  • This really is their best

  • especially if you are a major seventh chord freak. This song Is the fuck of the century.

  • Original line up ..ACE..!

  • Queen must have been big fans of these guys.

  • Comment removed

  • Why must Queen have been fans?

  • and why should they?

    i guess Freddie is not

and the rest of the band might be really into AC/DC or maybe Madonna...

    how could you know?

  • they say that bohemian rhapsody was influenced by one night in paris by 10cc

  • i am actually not surprised to hear that.. =P

but that does not immediatly say they like Queen

but this is a stupid argument XD

  • YES IT IS

  • Unique band All four members were gifted musicians and songwriters very rare even the beatles and the stones couldn't manage that.

  • LMA

     omg

    this

    is

    just wild as hell

  • I love this song

  • One of the greatest bands of all time.

  • I love the Hum drum days and a hum drum ways bit.Goes round and round your head like a mantra, hypnotic.

  • Man that bit is sooo catchy

  • Original, brilliantly creative, intelligent, clever... unique song structures.... So cool to see these old vids... thanks!

  • My thoughts exactly !!

  • when the chips are down sample

by lloyd banks feat the game

  • Another Manchester top rock uk band..they have made their mark in the music world, but not got the full recognition they deserve, but i am bias....they come from not 5 mile from where i live.

  • All of the original line-up were highly creative, talented musicians, but I think Graham Gouldman stands out. He wrote million-selling hits for The Yardbirds, The Hollies, Herman's Hermits, Wayne Fontana, and Cher, amongst others.

  • Can't say the same for those who are with Graham today though

  • We all go downhill as we age. He's not as good as he was and the people he hangs out with now aren't as good as the people he hung out with in the 70s. He's still pretty damned good. His stuff is still fun to listen to, even when he's just rehashing 10cc hits. Can you say the same of (say) Boy George?

  • Yeah he's damn good and the songs are good I still listen to them, just don't like the attitude of the people who tour with him nowadays they are out of touch with him

  • Yep totally agree....i grew up with all the tunes in the early 70s of 10cc,and my dad said to me what about the guys doing their bit in the 60s,not only did they do their bit in the 60s and 70s,but produce videos and top tunes with andrew gold.i only know half of the story but strawberry studios in stockport helped. mike

  • Lol Creme, looks like a south American native.

  • .....not to a fellow Jew!

  • ^ ... that's funny :-D :-D

  • Great inventive group.

  • Are you a fan of On the Buses by any chance? Just the name makes me wonder.

  • Now who would have guessed Milton's Paradise Lost could be found?

  • I am going to se them next week...can't wait...!!!

  • i met lol + kevin way back...they were madly in luv with each other...holdin hands walkin down carnaby st...a lovely sight..

  • Yeah Mum use your own sign in if you want to comment on your pop idols from your. Coz lookin at the comments you've put, People are gonna think i am er GAY. Comprehede!!!

  • Mum has been slapped !

  • My favourite song from them ever. His voice is the sexiest I've ever heard. I love him phew!!

  • who can see The Feeling in this song?

  • How many times has this song been sampled?

  • Kazzy baby says this sound like the beach boys,,, and shes right

  • It's a parody song, like quite a few of 10cc's debut album. It's supposed to.

  • much better than the beach boy's

  • Pure magic,a lot of memories and some good beats

every one of them could play there instruments which was a big thing back then and they done it well.

  • Funnily enough, Eric Stewart hated the song !

  • lloyd banks-when the chips are down

  • This is very possibly the most perfect pop single of all time. Lol Creme had the most fantastic cartoon voice !

  • 10cc rules

  • Just goes to show, you can manufacture 'pop stars' but there is no substitute for real talent, 10cc had in in abundance.

I have always loved this song :)

  • they are so good

  • A great band, but they sometimes veered close to parodying pop music. This is a very good song, though!

  • In fact their goal was always to create parody songs with pop melodies. They were perfect at it!

  • Drew5292 excellent points, fantastic group I couldnt agree more

  • 10cc live in falkirk 3/4 may, free concert

  • I love youtube , If you love it, you can find it. (why did´t 10 CC get the same as The Beatles and Beach Boys" I love the lyris

  • Funny that in 10cc everyone got a share of the vocals?

  • Thanx for uploading!!! they're brill!!!!!

  • early stuff-great-until they split then took themselves too seriously. The irony in this track is brilliant.

  • I think Kasiamonkey, and anyone else who believes this great band Americanized themselves, is missing the point.

As well as fantastic songwriting and musical abiity, they intertwined sharp satire into their work, and the Four Seasons pastiche that this song, Donna, Rubber Bullets, and others work with demonstrates that.

Fantastic group, and to echo FilmsRreel's point 'Fucking brilliant'.

  • 10cc is without question the most underrated and in the history of music ..your right they are brilliant...an amazing four minds ..rock and roll hall are you listening...

  • They are brilliant . They had there own studios too in England another reason why they were so successful........ They did split up, But Godley and Creme invented a new type of synth. if im correct. and Stewart and ther other one stayed togeth.

  • Godley and Creme invented the 'Gismo', a device which attached to the bridge of a guitar and enabled continuous sustain on the strings; it was a commercial flop. The Gismo was used on "Old Wild Men" and also "Gismo My Way", the B-side of "The Wall Street Shuffle".

  • Your so right! They have one of the best sounds in the UK!

  • a clever witty pop tune

  • Memory Lane, it's so beautiful! 10CC were and always will be one of the greatest and most talented bands of all time.

  • I love this song.

  • ysgwy: I'm Mandy, Fly Me is great, and it is here, just take a look at annieoakley53's channel.

  • Great song. But i am still hoping the even better track - " I AM MANDY FLY ME" will appear here soon.

  • Fucking brilliant

  • a great band, i just didnt like how bands had to americanise themselves to get success!

  • the Biggest band of the 70s here in England...sheer talent from Manchester that split up before there time

  • Wrong.

    Try the beatles.

    Still an excellent band.

  • Beatles were big in the 60s my friend but disbanded in the early 70s
