My poor mum suffered terribly with dementia in the last 5 to 10 years of her life. I now know from my own symptoms that she had classic symptoms of hypothyroidism, but was never diagnosed or treated for it. Watching this video makes me quite sad, because I realise now that had she been treated with natural hormone for her very obvious thyroid symptoms, she would not have lost her mind in the last years of her life. Very very sad.
Wow, interesting. I started having anxiety/panic attacks after the birth of my first child. Some of my hair had fallen out and I knew this was hormonal. I had low thyroid for decades and yet wasn't treated. I've talked to other women who started having panic attacks after childbirth and thought there was a connection. It seems when the thyroid is stressed that it pumps out too much and hence the anxiety. It will finally give out later on. Treat the thyroid before antidepressants/drugs..
@tweetyli1 So weird to read your comment. After I had my first child I started really dealing with "pure O". I did notice it came on after having my child even though I've always been a lot more fearful than others anyway. I am pregnant for the 3rd time and this time am going to a midwives group. They tested my thyroid levels and they came back as too low. I have never heard anyone else besides me talking about anxiety after having their 1st child!
I am a recovered fibromyalgic who had to leave the care of the medical profession to discover the cause and cure without drugs. Symptoms are mistaken for the cause. I am proof you can cure this horrific illness and take back your life. Please, do not give up hope!! Keep going!!!

What would be the best option (done by me and my sister) is looking for a nature dokter (someone that looks further than blood values) since some people are resitant to the thyroid hormone and have enough in their blood, but not enough thyroid hormone passing inside the organs where theyr're needed. First let your blood test and if you're lucky your blood values will point out you have this. And yes if you take the medication everyday twice, you will feel mentally stable, happy and such again!
Please please help me... I live in the U.K. I have had problems for years now diagnosed with underactive thyriod and Bi polor. on a whole list of meds and wheigt gain not good. I am trying to get treated but docs don't know ? Karen
Also please publish a peer reviewed paper or 2 and get the mainstream medical practitioners clued up on thyroid problems. They are sorely inadequately trained in this field.
