The game over message should have been: "Game over. Maybe next time you'll consider buying our product". Then the game uninstalls itself and erases all install files. That would be awesome.
And the funny part is, this DRM monster was probably cracked shortly after it was discovered, which again, makes DRM worthless and only punishes legit consumers.

@Doomsfall Although "Steam" service is more buggy than Windoze, it is nothing compared to Game For Windoze Live (GFWL) which has probably cost many players (especially on Steam) from even being able to play the game "Bulletstorm".
It told me my Windoze live id does not exist even though it does and it accepted the product key I did pay for (on Steam), and a new account that does work but it says it is already registered to the other account.

@BeastlyRig FYi, 4.5 downloads =/= 4.5 people. There are also alot of pirating on consoles too as well, not only pc. I know you'll put up that consoles have less number of piracy than pc because of downloads, but the numbers on the website doesn't include the ones who sells pirated copies. I went to china and I'm seen many people selling illegal copies of console games. Another example is people can go to blockbuster to rent a console game, pirate it and return it.

Lol this is hilarious I wanna pirate the game just to see it for myself. I already bought the game so tell me to buy it. Also what happens if you bought the game but later have no access to it? It states that if you bought the game it is LEGAL to pirate it since you already paid for it.

Yes this is the Best DRM I have seen. Not only does it let you play the game, But it annoys the hell out of you, though doesn't kill you. Best DRM ever. This DRM should be added to all games

@Doomsfall Although "Steam" service is more buggy than Windoze, it is nothing compared to Game For Windoze Live (GFWL) which has probably cost many players (especially on Steam) from even being able to play the game "Bulletstorm".
It told me my Windoze live id does not exist even though it does and it accepted the product key I did pay for (on Steam), and a new account that does work but it says it is already registered to the other account.
Piracy is a go for Bulletstorm.

@ShroedingerWatcher I've never had any problems running bulletstorm on gfwl nor did I ever mention it, I have my reasons for disliking steam after how hard hard it was to acquire and play games without my own internet around the time as the internet in my area sucks and isn't worth getting just use steam with, it was easier when games didn't require this nonsense.

This is DRM done right! None of that shit that makes it unbearable to actually buy the game, like having to go online or checking your game about 200 times every few minutes. Fuck EA. I actually have to hack the games I buy to make them bearable.

@avmf8 Unless something is wrong with your copy, it shouldn't happen. If it does, you can always complain to customer support and wherever you bought it from. If it's a legit copy, it shouldn't happen.

@BeastlyRig FYi, 4.5 downloads =/= 4.5 people. There are also alot of pirating on consoles too as well, not only pc. I know you'll put up that consoles have less number of piracy than pc because of downloads, but the numbers on the website doesn't include the ones who sells pirated copies. I went to china and I'm seen many people selling illegal copies of console games. Another example is people can go to blockbuster to rent a console game, pirate it and return it.

@BeastlyRig yeah and probably 4 million of those 4.5 only downloaded out of curiosity and never played more than 30 minutes. about 200k downloaded out of curiosity and ended up buying the game. and the other 300k are the genuine pirates who perhaps wouldve brought the game if it wasnt available for free.
but out of that 300k ill bet a tonne of them made youtube videos and made free advertising for the game.

Another thing is in the level "Under the iron curtain" where you look into the air and your head spins wildly.
People will eventually find a way to bypass this.
Still, it's a good game. Too bad I can't buy it on steam due to the lack of a credit card.
If only this was on retail.

If a dev makes a good game, they shouldn't worry about pirating, because it will sell like hotcakes. Whereas if they make a bad game, no one will buy it. Pirates shouldn't even cross a devs mind. This is hilarious though.

Not always a case because last time I checked, PSN got hacked and there are xbox hacking as well. PS3 and xbox games can be pirated as well. For ps3, if people wanted to play pirated games, the console must be jailbreaked.

Go waste $60 on a game that sucks because u won't "try b4 u buy". I bought Fallout 3, B4 "trying it" what a disaster that was. I would have forgiven them for it if N.V. & Skyrim hadn't used the same awful, barely updated engine used in Morrowind. With CONSOLES, most devs make 1 game & sell it on 4 platforms with minor tweaks, & u think PIRATES R ruining the industry? They've said that since Commander Keen! While I agree with most of the things you have said, I find it unfair towards Serious Sam since it is actually one of the few modern games that I like to support as it is actually fun to play. FFS, its what Duke Nukem was supposed to be all along. Even their implementation of their DRM shows that they are far from being one of those companies you are raging at so much.
